I grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland (in the 1950's), northern New Jersey and north and northwest Chicago (in the 1960's). I went to college in Connecticut (at Yale) and studied Humanistic Psychology. After graduating I lived in the city of Chicago for 5 years working as a social worker. In 1977 I moved to San Francisco with $500 in my pocket and somehow prevailed there for 25 years. For the last 18 years I worked in software marketing. In 2002, during the Tech Bust, I became a "high tech refugee" who moved to Portland in search of honest labor. My husband and I traded a condo overlooking Golden Gate Park with for a 9,000 sq. ft. Victorian B&B -- the Lion and the Rose -- and become innkeepers. I enjoy movies, science fiction and good food. Family and friends are very important to me.
