A unique tropical home with artistic details and gorgeous garden. All the conveniences of town plus wildlife watching, epic sunsets and lounging. Walk to the beach for surf and play, or go up the river for kayaking or SUP.

The space
Tucked in the heart of a vibrant surf town is the riverfront oasis of Jazzy's River House. While not actually built on or in a living tree, our rental home feels just like a treehouse because it's open to the surrounding gardens and bamboo. It has an upstairs loft that sleeps 5, with balcony views over the Baru estuary and the sandy beach and breaking surf beyond. Mosquito nets are provided for all of the beds, but not always needed. Downstairs there is a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and living space, all with hand applied details. The home looks out on a tree-sheltered garden. Protected, secure, and convenient, this will be your refuge in Dominical. Home owners Ruby and Steve live in another open-air home on the same property and welcome you to experience their style of pura vida.

Guest access
The world famous surfing beach of Dominical is only a pleasant five minute walk away, or a short paddle by kayak or surfboard. No rental car needed, although secure parking is available. Within steps of our entrance you have access to shops, restaurants, tour companies and all that Dominical has to offer. Public transportation is easy and convenient. You can get here from just about anywhere in Costa Rica on public buses, and shuttles to the airport and major tourist areas leave from just up the main road.

Other things to note
Follow miles of pristine beaches with their interlacing, fascinating waterways and mangrove backwaters. Witness a never-ending variety of plant and animal and bird and bug and spirit life. Wander as far as you can, stay as long as you like....enjoy warm weather, open-air yoga sessions, sunrise/sunset meditation sites, fresh organic fruits and vegetables, local medicinal plant treatments.
