I highly recommend Mark's apartment, especially if you want to experience the Brooklyn life. It is very sunny and the pictures are accurate. We were so disappointed not to meet Mark directly, as he was traveling when we were arriving. We arrived late due to bad weather, yet Mark ensured we had someone to contact and we got keys without any issues. Mark was an excellent communicator and we talked before arrival and he ensured we had all the info we needed and was available by phone during our stay. He was a great host!
I stayed with my 2 teenaged sons. There was plenty of room for all of us. Very convenient location - 1.5 blocks to subway, 2 blocks to restaurants, very walkable area if you are used to the city. King bed was comfortable, bathroom is large, kitchen is functional with large table, screamin' wi-fi and full cable. Very family-oriented, comfortable space. We hopped the trains and were in Manhattan within 15 minutes - great alternative to the cost and bustle of NYC.
Note that the building is somewhat industrial and it is a 3rd floor walk up. We liked living as city-dwellers, so we were fine without a doorman-type entrance or elevator. Street is loud - but that is typical in any metro area.
Great time had by all and I would recommend Mark's place to friends.
My staying at NY couldn't be better than at mark's place. He was so kind that even gave a walk through the neighborhood , showing me the laundry, the grocery stores.
The apartment super well located near to Atlantic Ave-Barclay Center Subway station, i moved around all the city from there. And the apartment is just excellent. This was my first time in NYC and definetely was and total success thanks to mark and his friendly family.
