About this listing
We love our house. It's really close to downtown and the University while still in a really beautiful, serene neighborhood. We can walk and bike anywhere we need to go or stay home doing projects or working in the yard.
It's a treat to share our home with travelers.
Private room with queen sized bed, and personal bathroom in a fabulous family home. Our house is located on the best street in Missoula for walking, bike-riding, quiet, and proximity to desirable locations, without being busy. We have a large yard with fruit trees, chickens, flowers, fire circle, and more. Your room is clean with hardwood floors, a real bed, and cozy blankets. A bathroom for your personal use is just across the hall.
One thing to consider for private or shy folk, is that the guest room is the sole bedroom on the ground floor and thus is immediately adjacent to the living room, kitchen, and dining room. When the family is home the guest is right in the middle of the mix.
Full kitchen access not included, though feel free to store items in the fridge.
It's just a ten minute walk to downtown or the University, and restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, shopping, and parks are within five minutes walking distance. We often walk the river trail, jump in the river, or hike Mount Sentinel by simply walking the few blocks to get there.
We also have cute kids and an old friendly dog (though our animals are not allowed in the guest room). Free wifi and shaded parking spot included.
Kitchen access not included.
Guests generally use the beautiful yard, front porch, the guest bathroom and their own private room. Unfortunately the kitchen is not available to guests.
Interaction with Guests
We socialize a little bit when sharing the same space but otherwise we try to give the guest as much privacy as possible.
We're happy to answer questions or give recommendations for sites and restaurants. We're also happy to completely give you your space and grant you the freedom to come and go without having to chat.
Other Things to Note
One thing to consider is that the guest room is the sole bedroom on the ground floor and thus is immediately adjacent to the living room, kitchen, and dining room.
