Typical Corsican house in the listed village of Penta di Casinca overlooking the eastern plain and the sea. 15 minutes from the beach, less than an hour from Bastia, Corte, St Florent or l’Ile Rousse, ideal situation for the visit of numerous natural and touristic sites.
The house was built by my father in 1994, it makes a synthesis between an original design and traditional materials.
Penta di Casinca lies on a crest with an open view to the sea and the mountains. On bright days, one can see the Tuscan archipelago islands (Capraia, Elbe and Pianosa) and even the Italian coastline and the marble quarry of San Carlo.
The house stands on a gentle slope made with traditional terraces where people enjoy meeting between sunshine and shadow.
The garden is a tiny spot for biodiversity where you will be able to meet and hear tree-dwelling frogs and green frogs in the pond, and red kites, tits and warblers flying over the house.
The swimming pool is equipped with an alarm but it is highly recommended to keep an eye on young children both around the pool and on the terraces.
The house consists in a 130 m2 main house with three bedrooms, a bathroom and two toilets + a smaller 25 m2 house with a bedroom and a summer bathroom + a 700 m2 garden with a swimming pool and an ornamental pond.
As near to pedestrian paths as to the beach, between sea and mountains, our house is full of charm, as is the village of Penta di Casinca, and will provide a fabulous place to stay. Its master houses, its tiny streets, its Roman chapel and its barocco church made Penta di Casinca the only fully listed Corsican village in 1973.
