  • We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was as described. Comfortable room with lovely bath/shower and well equipped kitchen area. The place is set on a lovely kibbutz and you can visit the Yehiyam fortress which is within the grounds of the kibbutz. Unfortunately we did not meet Noga or her husband but we spoke to them on the phone and they gave us instructions about how to find the apartment once we entered the kibbutz. They were helpful and easy to cimmunicate with. Highly recommended!

  • Staying in Noga and Menachim's apartment was magical from start to finish. It was the finest accommodation that we stayed in for our entire holiday yet very reasonably priced. Beautifully appointed with art, fine china, lovely and practical window coverings, etc. the room is small yet ample with lovely furnishings and the bath equipped with a tub for two was a real treat. This place is even better than the photos and the Hosts are as sweet and generous yet not intrusive as one could find. Yechiam kibbutz is currently a bit rough around the edges due to infrastructure improvements and new home construction, however, where this studio is located is the most cared for and beautiful... We highly recommend staying here!

  • Great place, beautiful town with it's own brewery making great ales and beers! A very convenient location for driving over to Galilee sea and the north coast of israel. Great hosts.

  • Noga and Menachem could not have been kinder or more welcoming as hosts. We were travelling with our 20 month old daughter, and they were able to provide us with a beautiful cot and bedding, a highchair, and even a box of toys.
The room is lovely and feels larger on account of having the use of the garden with table and chairs for meals outside.
The kibbutz is a good place to visit with a small child as it's very safe, has no traffic, and there are playgrounds on site. There is a shop on the kibbutz that sells all the basics which was very useful, and the fort at the heart of the kibbutz is stunning, with amazing views of the Galilee.
We were there in October, and it's a great time to visit as it's not too hot, but it is worth bearing in mind that the summer season places are closed at this time, including the swimming pool on the kibbutz, and some of the beaches nearby. The other thing that would have been useful to know was that the kibbutz has a gate which is closed and unmanned from 5pm-10pm, during which time it can be opened by phone by one of the permanent residents. This means that to come and go in the evenings requires a phone call to Noga or Menachem who can then let you through - but without an Israeli SIM the phone calls can be expensive so it might be worth trying to get a local SIM for the trip.
We had a lovely stay and it was a good base for visiting Acre and the rest of the area.

  • Absolutely gorgeous studio with very friendly hosts who went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. They gave us a tour of the kibbutz, fort and Nogar's studio which was all fascinating.

  • We spent two nights with the Shavits - actually it was with Menachim as our host (we never met Noga). He could not have been more helpful and accommodating. He has spent decades living on the kibbutz, so he offered to provided us with detailed information about sights to see and places to eat. He was as nice a host as one could imagine. As an example, when my wife mentioned that she was being bitten by mosquitos, he immediately went to get insect repellent which he told us to keep until we left.

The room was very tastefully decorated with both modern and antique touches. Everything was immaculate - especially the bathroom. The room used to be Noga´s studio (she is an artist), and it was converted, so sunlight enters from three sides. It was very nicely decorated and clean. It is not large, but the two of us did not feel cramped. The bathroom included a large tub/shower. The bed was comfortable. The garden was beautiful, and we made tea from the plants in it.

Overall, we were very happy with both our host and the accomodations. We could not ask for anything better.

  • We stayed at Noga's house two nights and enjoyed it very much. The apartment is beautiful and the yard is peaceful and lovely. We even got a crib for our daughter!
