  • Unfortunately, our visit to Toronto coincided with a vicious cold snap and when we decided to leave early Kintoo was kind enough to give us at least a partial refund. Decent guy.

  • Kintoo and the House were great. Very welcoming and the place was clean and tidy. I stayed in one of the rooms upstairs and everything was great. I did move into the basement and had a few issues with the noise of the room but apart from that my stay was very pleasent.

  • A charming house in a quaint neighbourhood quite close to downtown Toronto. Our room was exceptionally clean, as were the well-stocked bathrooms during our stay. The powerful bedside fan kept the room very comfortable, and we slept well into our mornings because the bed was so cosy! Since we were spending our honeymoon in the city, Kintoo had also left us a box of cherry bomb chocolates, which added a very cute touch to the room. The caretaker, Joseph, was friendly and welcoming, and overall, our stay was excellent.

  • Hello. I am new to Canada. My bf and I spent our first Christmas in Kintoo's house. This was a very nice experience. Kintoo and his wife were very kind and helpful. His beautiful house was like a lovely home and relieved our homesick. Thanks a lot!

  • Kintoo was a wonderful host and runs the house very professionally. My room was nice and clean with a really comfy bed. Lots of great little touches - shampoo/ conditioner in bathroom and washing powder should you need to do laundry. Located in a fantastic area - close to bars/shopping and just a short street car ride into the city centre. Would come back for sure!

  • We enjoyed our stay with Kintoo very much. We flew into Toronto at the off shore island airport (Billy Bishop) so we could walk to the house. It was built in 1890 which made it fun and our room and washroom were both spotless. We shared the bath with maybe three other rooms but there was a second full bath in the lowest level near the full kitchen which was also for our use. We made our own breakfast four of our five mornings. The room had two closets and several drawers for hanging garments. The room was small and had only one chair and a desk but we were not in the room much so it made little difference. There also was a TV so we could catch up on the hurricane Irene and death of the beloved politician Jack Layton on CNN and CTV. Queen Street West was only a block away where there were scads of places to eat and shops galore plus a streetcar to take you directly to the center of town and the subway lines. Kintoo gave us a nice tour when we first arrived and gladly answered our few questions with good advice. He was friendly and efficient. His home has affordable rooms and a couple of larger ones for folks who want a bit more luxury (private bath and more room). It was a great stay and we wished we could have stayed a couple more days beyond our five day stay.

  • The room at Kintoo's guest house is exactly as it appears in the ad! The room was bright and meticulous with fresh crisp sheets and towels. The bed was very comfortable and the closet was huge. There was a little TV, coffee maker and alarm clock in the room. The guests could also use the telephone for local calls. The shared bathroom was spotless and even had shampoo and a blow dryer for the guests. The shared kitchen was clean with everything from plastic storage containers to frying pans;even the coffee and tea were supplied! Kintoo was kind enough to also offer the use of the washer and dryer . The area of the guest house is in the fashion district, so the shopping is fabulous. The streetcars are less than a block away and they can take you to the subway which is a 3 minute ride down the road. There are little bistros and restaurants everywhere. Kintoo was very professional as he walked me through the whole house and introduced me to the different features---even recycling! The host, location, price and amenities were perfect for my holiday. Kintoo was a great host and I would stay there again in a heart beat.

  • The room and host were professional and welcoming from start to finish. Stayed for 10 nights in this real Toronto neighborhood (where I used to live and work) and filled with non touristy cafes, bakeries and restaurants. Great street car access to the downtown core or a short scenic walk. Would stay again and recommend.

  • We had a great experience with our host Kintoo right from the start. Kintoo replied very quickly and provided us with all the information we needed - directions, best mode of transport from bus station to his house etc. Our stay was great - the house is very clean, our room was lovely - had a coffee maker and TV. We had access to the kitchen and Kintoo provides tea and coffee and we also had access to washer and dryer and Kinto generously provides washing powder etc. Kintoo was really friendly and accessable and we chatted quite often - he has lots of knowledge of Toronto and knows the sort of information travelers need. We had a great time and would definately stay with Kintooo next time we are in Toronto.

We are priviledged to be the owners of this historical century home in downtown Toronto. Called the Grand Dame of Niagara, this classic Victorian is one of the earliest and largest homes in the Trinity-Bellwoods area of Queen West long before it was developed into the Art and Entertainment centre of Toronto. This house has been meticulously restored in the last 10 years with the goal of keeping its old world charm while updating to provide all the comforts of a modern home. Our community is populated mostly by artists and families who have made the area home for generations. Living here allows you to experience the diversity and excitement of Toronto. You can live among locals while within close proximity to all the city has to offer. We love to stroll along Queen St and browse the independent galleries and shops or relax in one of the trendy cafes watching city life pass by. Steps away is Trinity-Bellwoods Park, one of the largest in the city, where we can get loss in nature or play a game of tennis, baseball or soccer. An extended walk from the house will take you through multicultural neighbourhoods of Little Italy, Chinatown and Kensington Market. Getting to the city centre along Queen St with its fashion stores or King St with its trendy restaurants and performance theatres provide some of the most interesting walks you will find in the city. These are some of the reasons we have made this part of Toronto our home. We are avid travellers ourselves and appreciate the whole world of experiences outside our doors. It would be our pleasure to share these experiences with our guests from all over the world.
