Unwind in this adorable bungalow directly on the Rio Grande River with stunning views of Turtleback Mountain. This sweet space is private and tranquil but still close to hot springs and downtown.

My home, s built in the 1940s, has a beach-y vibe and vintage charm. If you are looking for something uber modern with lots of plush amenities, this may not be the best fit.

We love hosting artists & creatives so reach out if you are interested in a longer stay at Mesquite Retreats in the future!

The space
Enjoy this light-filled cozy bungalow with hardwood floors and wood ceilings in the bedroom and office. Walk through the front door into the office with lots of books, two works spaces, and an AC unit in the window. (This room was converted from a bedroom to an office).

Walk through the office into a living room/galley kitchen with BOSCH refrigeration and basic kitchen appliances and supplies. You can enjoy eating at a small cabaret table. That soace also features a mid-century couch (good for a nap and can double as a bed in a pinch) with spectacular mountain views. There's a wonderful split unit in the ceiling of this room that cools things off in a jif.

This area features a sliding glass door that leads to the deck that spans two sides of the house. There's a great seating area out there, as well as down on the deck right next to the river.

Off the kitchen is a tiled bathroom with more mountain views, and on the other side a small living room with a small couch (that can fold out into a floor futon--functional for small/short bodies) and another sitting area . On either side of that living room are a storage/washroom (currently there is no washing machine) and on the other side the bedroom.

The bedroom features a closet and a dresser and comfy cotton sheets and lovely bedding. There are (surprise!) more books, and four windows with beautiful vintage curtains that allow privacy and help block out the intense desert sun. There's also an AC window unit in the bedroom as well as an overhead fan.
