Main room, dining corner. There are a lot of English and French books. You have also some comic books, DVD's and CD's !
Would you like to live a beautiful experience ? Ideally situated right in the heart of Avignon’s old town, this large apartment of 85 Square Meters (85 M2) has an exceptional view on The “Palais des Papes” (Popes' Palace) and the Mont Ventoux : please, have a look to the pictures taken from the flat.
The apartment was renewed and reorganized recently in a cosy and elegant atmosphere and consists of a very big part (35 square meters) and a spacious bedroom (25 square meters) with a large and new bed (160 x 200 cm) with Ipod/Iphone Dock and an office desk. There is a large bathroom with shower and bathtub ! Toilets are separated. The apartment is really very quiet. Public parking is easy in the town (from 40 meters of the flat!).
The flat is at the top of a beautiful building "Art Déco" built in 1890 (no lift). Flat and building are really quiet.
This is the ideal place as to take advantage of the terraces, theaters, of the famous “Palais des Papes” and the “Pont d’Avignon” (the Avignon’s famous bridge). From Avignon, it's really easy to visit all the Provence places (Saint Rémy de Provence, Les Baux de Provence, Arles, les Saintes Maries de la Mer) and different places in Luberon (Gordes, Fontaine de Vaucluse, etc.).

Pascal is a wonderful and most gracious host. He met us at the Gare D'Avignon Centre, and walked us to his flat, carrying one of our heavy backpacks while giving us a descriptive tour of sites along the way. The five floors of stairs (have fun counting the steps!) brings you to a top floor flat with the outstanding view shown in the promotion photos. A very nice bottle of wine was also waiting for us. Pascal mad us feel right at home in his home. The ample space, beautiful light and excellent, open airiness of our temporary home in Avignon was exactly what we had hoped to find for the last week of our three week France Adventure. On the inevitable but all too soon morning of our departure, Pascal met us at the flat, very early, and drove us to the Avignon TGV! From the flat, the church bells of St. Pierre are right across the street and at window level: they sound amazing! Centrally located in the walled city, we could walk everywhere in town. The neighbourhood is quiet, and you can watch it slowly come to life every morning from the 2 huge windows. All the photos Pascal includes gives you a perfect feel for this wonderful home away from home. Thanks for a great stay....we hope to return someday. Merci, Scott and Mary; Fergus, Ontario, Canada.
We are middle age retired couple from USA, stayed 5 nites end of Sept. early Oct. 2013.
Excellent apartment and Pascal was very attentive. No complaints with apartment, location, or Pascal. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Bed very comfortable, kitchen excellent, bathroom excellent (biggest shower we had in Europe) and views awesome.
Highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Avignon.
Realize it is 5 flights of stairs up to get to 5th floor, no elevator. This was very easily managed, and not an issue for us. Makes for great views of city, popes palace, etc...
Want to thank Pascal for allowing us to stay 3 extra nights and being very attentive.
We stayed 4 nights in Avignon. The apartment was well equipped and in a great location and very clean. Pascal was very helpful with information about the area and surrounds. The only negative was there was no lift and we were on the 5th floor which would be diffcult for people who were unfit. .
Pascal's apartment was in an immaculate condition and perfectly clean. He clearly takes pride in his apartment, the furnishings and fixtures and is beautifully decorated. The apartment is large and literally 2 minutes from the Pope's Palace and the main square. Pascal was very helpful, punctual and precise with communication and timing and even helped us carry our luggage to the 5th floor (totally worth the food view). The original photography in his apartment also deserves a good word. We had a fantastic stay and only wish we were there for longer!
Pascal was a gracious host whose flat makes you feel luxurious. He was incredibly friendly, even welcoming us with a bottle of wine, and accommodated our late arrival (we got a bit lost driving around Avignon). The flat is well decorated, immaculately clean, has a spectacular view, and is incredibly spacious. It is a short three-minute walk to Les Halles where we would buy everything from breads to meats and seafood. My husband and I really enjoyed cooking in the flat, whose kitchen is well equipped with dishes, cookware, cups, etc.
The flat is well located inside of the wall and is walking distance to everything. Be sure to check out the restaurant La Fourchette (which Pascal recommended to us) if you are looking for a nicer meal, or else, Chez Rippert for a more casual, but delicious, dining experience. Chez Rippert has an amazing beef tartar and served the sweetest scallops I have ever tasted.
Be warned that the flat is on the fifth floor of the building with no elevator. It is well worth the hike, but pack light as each floor is about 10 feet tall. I would also recommend that you bring slippers or heavy socks for walking around inside, as the floors are all tiled and can feel quite chilly.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Pascal's and can't wait to return! We are already recommending Avignon to all of our friends and family, and telling them to stay at Pascal's when they visit.
The reservation was canceled 40 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We recently had the pleasure of staying in Pascal’s apartment, and we loved it! Our stay there exceeded all of our expectations!
Pascal was an amazing host. Right from the beginning, he was always quick to reply to our emails with friendly and detailed messages. He's well-read and well-spoken, and was a great ambassador for the town - he clearly enjoys meeting new people. Before and during our stay, Pascal went out of his way to ensure that we had a great visit, going far above and beyond what was expected.
Beautiful! Light, airy, and spotlessly clean, Pascal’s luxurious apartment actually seemed larger in person than it looked in the photos! It was very spacious and comfortable, and with all of the kitchen appliances we needed, we felt right at home. Although the apartment is located in the center of town, the bedroom faces into a small courtyard in the interior of the building, and we found it to be incredibly quiet at night. We had the most amazing sleep while we were there, and the small but powerful A/C unit definitely helped on those hot August nights! One of the best things about the apartment was the view (as you can see in the pictures), which was gorgeous!
Avignon is a beautiful town with lots to see and do, and we wished we’d had more time there. The apartment is in walking distance from everything within the town walls. There are lots of great restaurants, historical sites, markets, and shops just a few minutes out the door.
We've already recommended this apartment to friends and family and can't wait to visit again!

A bientôt à Avignon :)
