This is a nice space; comfortable bed, clean, public transport is nearby and the Scrubs is a lovely place for walks. Personally, I also liked the decor very much :) However, I feel it's better suited to someone who spends most of their time away from the house. I work as I travel and there was nowhere in the room for me to put my laptop, and Vivianne doesn't seem to like people staying in the kitchen area for very long. So I spent a fair amount of time on the floor and my bed. I gave the space 4 stars, because there is a lot to like about it... but don't expect to be able to use other spaces in the house much.

Response from Viviane:
Thanks for your feedback Lesley and I'm sorry that your stay wasn't 100% what you expected. The pictures don't show any table/desk in the room, so I am not sure why you expected to have one. However, there was a foldable table available in the room for your computer, shame you missed that. It's true that the use of the kitchen is limited as per my house rules, which also says that I don't mind if guests prepare breakfast or a simple meal, use the fridge and microwave. I'm always happy to have a cup of tea and a chat with guests, give directions and help with anything to do with their stay in London but I work from home and I'm not available all day for chitchat. I am sorry but I did explain that I was having a very busy week.

It was my first airbnb experience, and it was great. Viviane was nice and helpful. The place is nice and central located. It is close to public transportation, and I did feel safe walking around the neighborhood. Wouldn't hesitate to come back there again!

This was my first trip to London and Viviane was a great host! She was very helpful prior and during my trip. The bus stop near her house was a two minute walk and an easy way to catch other buses, the Tube and get to Central London. Cute and safe neighborhood. Would definitely stay with Viviane again the next time I'm in London!

It was lovely to stay at Viviane's place. I couldn't ask for a better host than her! It was my first time using Airbnb but I'm very glad that this was my first stay! The room was just as how it looks like in the picture and it was very clean. The area is very safe to walk around and there are 3 bus stops near the house so you could get an easy access to the central part of London. I would definitely recommend you to stay here! Thank you Viviane for the lovely stay :)

I had a great stay at her place. I'm traveling alone through the U.K. And I felt extremely safe in the area - walking around by myself etc.I walked to the bus stations and wasn't worried. The neighborhood was great. I actually walked to notting hill from there and it was a really lovely walk. There's three buses nearby that I used a lot. One is about two minutes away and another I used a lot was less then a five minute walk. The bed was really comfortable and the room and bathroom super clean. I needed a blow dryer and Viviane had one there got my use, I would absolutely stay there again.

I love, firstly, Viviane and her husband as hosts, wiling to offer a helpful hand and a friendly chat when available. They're just wonderful, open people's and great air b&b hosts. Their place is lovely and like a solace if running around busy London. Being from the country, I loved the scrubs park with a big walking circle and seeing the community out and about during the sunshine and over the weekend, it's almost across the street. And there's also a larger park just a half block or more further with a large open area. It's a nice balance for London and this was a great area to be in, especially being about 10-15 min walk from portobello market on the weekend. Wow, that was lovely. Wonderful stay, had some great chats with Viviane and her husband and would hope to see them again. And the bed in this room is surprisingly comfy and indeed the room gets much light the first half of the day, and the bathroom right next to the bedroom door is quite nice as well

I always enjoy receiving people in my house and becoming a host at Airbnb has proven to be a great experience.
I'm interested in art, music, design, architecture, cinema, good food, vintage markets and travelling.
I love my area and feel very lucky to be just a few minutes walk to the lively Portobello Market and Notting Hill.
I have been living in the area for 20 years and despite Notting Hill becoming very famous, it didn't become very commercial and it haven't' lost it's charm and originality. I am glad that the sense of community has been preserved and it haven't been affected by globalisation.
