Hi there, welcome to Brooklyn! You're checking (email hidden) apt which is spacious, furnished, and conveniently located in Prospect/Crown Heights. There are many cute cafes, restaurants and bars right on Franklin ave.(half a block away), also it's a short walk to the Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza, Botanic Garden, and Vanderbilt Avenue. You can take 2,3,4,5 to Franklin, B,Q to 7th Ave(or Prospect Park) stop. Half block from the S train that connects to c,2,3,4,5,B,Q.
The apartment is on the first floor of a lovely 4 story building. It's quiet at night, and cool in summer. In the bedroom there's a full size bed and a love seat, and in the living room there are a sofa bed(also full size), a desk and a dining table. The kitchen is small but separate from the living room. One small bathroom with a bathtub. There are windows in any part of the apartment, 3 in the living room, 2 in the bedroom and one each in the bathroom and kitchen as well.
It can accommodate up to 3 people.
Free Wifi, all the kitchenware.
There's a Shuttle train that connects to a,c,2,3,4,5, which is half a block away. Also you can walk 4 blocks to Franklin Ave. and take 2,3,4,5. Franklin a, c stop is within 11 min. walking distance. I recommend to walk on Park Pl. towards Flatbush and take B, Q as well.
Terribly dirty, dangerous and bad for your health. that is how we would sum up this apartment.
The bed was supposed to be clean, but the stains in the bed and hairs on the pillows gave us the idea it wasn't.
The mold in the bathroom was so bad, you could smell it throughout the whole apartment.
Most of the kitchen items where so dirty we decided to eat out every night, and the rest we ate from paper plates.
Safe yourself the money, trouble and health, don´t ever go here!!
There was a problem with the hand off of keys. The person who was supposed to be there wasn't and the keys were left on on outside windowsill.
Very good as far as NYC places to stay. Better than ones I had in Manhattan and half the price. Cool walkable neighborhood with great restaurants and organic food places. Walk to the subways into Manhattan, walk to Brooklyn Museum, library, botanical gardens. Plenty of hip coffee places.Giah was easy to deal with, no problem.
However, when we were there, there was construction going on upstairs every morning and a neighbor had a smoke alarm that needed a new battery so it beeped every minute for 5 days. But those won't be there for you, so not an issue in the future. Also, couch was a little funky for sleeping but the main bed is very good. Roomy...a very good alternative to Manhattan and I was digging Brooklyn. I'd recommend it.
The apartment is a good size and is furnished simply and comfortably. It has a good wi-fi and shower. The immediate area has some useful food shops and places to eat and drink. Giah was helpful in answering my questions.

The apartment is in a "turning area" and is not luxurious but perfectly adequate and well kept. Its also very close to the S line.
Giah was very helpful and easy to contact.
Its a great place for anyone who is looking for a bargain and doesn't mind traveling outside of the hip areas of Brooklyn.

My partner and I stayed at Giah's place our first two weeks in New York while we found a place to live. As it turns out we didn't find a place within those two weeks as we expected to, and had to stay in several more places (happy ending: we've now found a place!). HOWEVER this does mean I have a lot of comparison in Brooklyn/NYC and can say that Giah's place was by far the best. It's a huge 1 bedroom apartment, clean, cute, well-equipped, and really comfortable. Much larger than any other 1 bd I've found in NYC and in a really wonderful area. Crown Heights is cool, safe, and in the mid-beginning stages of gentrification, so lots of fantastic cheap places to eat, and close enough to Prospect Park (a truly stunning place) that I could go for a run every day. Also great transport links with the shuttle and near the Franklin Ave 2/3/4/5 stop. Anyway... I'm a huge fan and if I'd seen Giah's place while househunting would have signed a lease on it in a minute. I can highly recommend this place!
