A perfect flat that is just far enough away from the craziness of city center so that you don't feel surrounded by hoards of tourists the evening, but closest enough that all of that is only about 15 minutes walk away! Also a bonus that Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat are very close by. Everything you need in the flat, and a cozy firm bed as well as a desk, so it's a great place to also get some work done. One bus I'll right outside the flat and the rest about two blocks away as is a Sainsburys Local and Co-op. Really a wonderful base for your stay in Edinburgh!

Victoria was very nice and great with communication. The flat was clean and had everything we needed. The only negative I would mention is the toilet; it is an "eco toilet" thus requires manual flushing sometimes. Otherwise, we had a great comfortable stay. Would highly recommend.

A nice area close to the centre of Edinburgh and a nice clean apartment.

I stayed in Victoria's apartment for five months and can easily recommend both a short and a long stay. It is close to both Arthur's Seat (basically: you have a mountain in your back yard! Unfortunately the view of it is hidden behind a building but walk 20 metres up or down the street and you have it) and the Meadows (and the University in George Square), 2 minutes' walk from two good grocery stores and a bunch of smaller specialized shops and food stores. It is 10-15 minutes on foot to the Royal Mile and 5-10 minutes more and you're in New Town. I picked the apartment for its proximity to the university, but was pleasantly surprised that it came with this lovely neighbourhood, too. The apartment itself is just like the pictures - except that there is a couch that you can't see (another pleasant surprise). The kitchen has the appliances you need: goodly sized fridge and freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave oven (and of course a regular oven and stove, too). There is enough cutlery, glassware and plates for several people. The bed is a bit harder than what I normally use but that is really just personal preference - and I slept perfectly well in it! The curtains block all light from the outside. The couch pulls out and makes up a 1.5 person bed (you can sleep two people on it if you don't need too much personal sleeping space), and it is pretty hard so I definitely recommend using some duvets to make it softer. The wifi is usually pretty decent but I did have to restart the router from time to time, and its reach is somewhat shaky if you are out of the living room. I just worked by the dinner table instead of at the desk, and that wasn't a problem at all :) All in all, I had a great time in Victoria's apartment and both it and Edinburgh are absolutely wonderful.

Victoria's flat is in the perfect location if you want to discover Edinburgh ! The Old Town, Royal Mile, Arthur's seat and Holyrood Palace are within walking distance. Lots of bus stops, cafes and supermarket are close by as well. The flat is exactly as per photos provided on Airbnb. I really appreciated Victoria's flexibility regarding the check in and the check out, and also the fact that the heating always worked really well and we were never cold in the flat. The things I would improve are in my opinion the bed, which for 2 tall people might be a bit too small (but the bedroom is small as well so not sure this would be possible) and also the kitchen was not very clean and some pots and pans were old and dirty. To be honest, I didn't mention this to Victoria during our stay as we were out all the time and we dealt with it. For the price and the location I think the flat is great and we had a really nice time there !

The host was very accommodating to us--she allowed for an early check-in and met us at the apartment. Overall, the location is ideal--very close to everything. Only relative weakness was the wi-fi connection. It was not reliable.
