Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Spacious 1 bedroom (3 bed total) loft on the 3rd floor of an historic building on Mass Ave Downtown, Indy's best area for dining and nightlife. We have 2 big TVs, blazing-fast wifi, and a comfortable desk for workers. Note: We're up two flights of stairs, so prepare to get in your steps! Indpls STR permit SRP-000167.

The space
You’re at the heart of the action on Mass Ave, Indy's cool address with great nightlife just outside your front door.

Our neighborhood can’t be beat, and then there’s our loft, with a notable aesthetic and amenities like home. Our loft is airy and open, with 10' ceilings, 114-year-old hardwood floors, and a porch overlooking a courtyard and century-old cathedral. The bedroom has 7' windows facing Mass Ave, so there’s lots of energy and people out and about just outside. But since there's a three floor walk up to our home, you'll still enjoy privacy, safety and relative quiet once inside.

Guest access
Guests will have access to our entire home.
— Breezy, covered balcony area with great city view
— 1 gig wifi in every room
— 70” smart TV with Roku and Chromecast in the living room, 60” LED TV with Roku and Chromecast in the bedroom
— Walking distance to the best restaurants and bars in Indy
— Ice cream, cupcake, and cookie shops right downstairs

Other things to note
I'm an Indiana born-and-bred food and travel writer, so please don’t hesitate to ask about the latest and greatest drinking and dining in the neighborhood. Just give me an idea of what you’re into, or if there’s a special occasion you’re marking, and I’ll come up with a slate of recommendations and pro local tips in a flash. If shopping is your thing, I can hook you up there, too - I own a store that specializes in artisanal and vintage goods and always have my eye on the local shopping scene, with a specialty in area makers and sustainable and antique shopping.

I'm a writer for Vanity Fair and the SF Chronicle, and was previously an editor at Eater—so I'm always ready with a "where should I eat?" recommendation (and would love to hear yours). I also write a true crime newsletter called Best Evidence. My husband and I own a small shop in San Francisco (where we also live) called Avenues Dry Goods. We share 2 dogs and a cat, my favorite things along with coffee, road trips, and making our guests happy.
