A Mediterranean-inspired villa retreat offering old-world elegance and modern amenities. Ideal for guests intentionally seeking a quiet, romantic experience.
Set on a private estate in the Ozarks, this Mediterranen-style villa feels worlds away from the typical cabin. Guests say the rooftop garden & warm lighting recall southern Europe.
Centrally located near the Buffalo National River, Eureka Springs, and Branson, the suite offers peaceful seclusion with easy access to regional highlights.
The space
This is a peaceful, design-focused retreat set on private land. We are not a working farm or rustic cabin experience, but we do participate in seasonal living.
Ideal for couples or solo travelers.
The Rooftop Garden Retreat is located on 10 privately owned rural acres in the Ozarks, just 35 minutes from the Buffalo National River and near the Scenic Highway 7 Byway.
The guest suite/apartment occupies the entire second floor of the home (approximately 800 sq ft) and features its own exterior entrance with keypad access.
Your hosts, my husband Dean and I reside on the first floor.
Designed with old-world Mediterranean influence, the suite is intentionally different from typical vacation rentals.
Warm amber-toned plaster walls, high celings, wood beams, and thoughtful architectural details create a space that feels eclectic yet romantic. It is an experience guests often describe as nourishing, both physically and emotionally.
Guests enjoy exclusive access to a large private rooftop garden for stargazing and relaxation, along with several additional patios and decks around the property for quiet moments outdoors.
Seasonal flowers, wildlife, and open countryside views add to the sense of calm and retreat.
The suite includes a dedicated workspace with strong Wi-Fi and a curated library for guests who enjoy reading, reflection, or slow mornings.
The exterior of the home features Mediterranean-style stucco, and the surrounding grounds include a country garden, mature oak trees with swings, and thoughtfully placed outdoor amenities.
A Blackstone griddle (propane provided) and fire pit (firewood provided) are available for guest use.
We've also added a new enclosed large back deck for the (inflatable) hot tub that works like a charm. White robes, small/medium and one size fit all, are provided for your pleasure in the suite to use for the hot tub. Enjoy!
Your rooftop sanctuary awaits.

Other things to note
The Mediterranean Rooftop Garden Retreat is located at Prominence Homestead of the Ozarks, approximately a 1/2 of a mile down a gravel road. The drive passes through open pastureland and during periods of rain or snow, may become muddy. On occasion, shallow water may cross the road, briefly and passable, but worth noting.
The property sits on 10 privately owned acres, offering a sense of privacy and openness.
While there are no neighbors directly in front of the home, there are neighboring properties beyond our acreage.
As with most rural settings, natural sounds are part of the experience. Guests may occasionally hear wildlife, farm animals in the distance, or seasonal nighttime sounds such as frogs or birds.
A few times a year, nearby fields may be fertilized for hay production, which can result in temporary rural odors.
If you’re seeking a quiet, nature-immersed setting with authentic countryside character that is in harmony with the relaxed symmetry of the space both inside and outside, this location is a wonderful fit.
For the most relaxed arrival, we recommend reaching the property before dark if possible, especially during your first visit.
A standard vehicle is typically sufficient, but please drive slowly on the gravel road during wet or icy conditions.
If you anticipate arriving after dark or during weather, feel free to reach out. We are happy to offer guidance.
