Our 4-bedroom with optional in-law suite is a beautiful quiet and secluded space on the waterfront. Under 10 minutes to downtown, the house is a retreat for those looking for a calm getaway while still having easy access to downtown Annapolis.

Take out the kayaks and paddle through the cattails. Or, if you're bold, follow the shoreline on the Chesapeake Bay. If you're lucky, you'll meet our neighbors - osprey, deer, and the fox - while you eat crabs on the deck. Relax; you're in “Naptown”

The space
Four bedroom waterfront home in Annapolis on 1/2 acre waterfront lot. 4 miles from historic downtown, this home is perfect for a family weekend retreat to discover Annapolis- or to just relax while reading a book on the deck overlooking Oyster Creek. Historic downtown, home to the Naval Academy, countless seafood restaurants, shops, and more, are an easy 8-minute drive away.

There are Two bedrooms and two full baths on the main (second) floor and two bedrooms and one full bath on the third level. There are full size beds and “king size” beds on each level. Both “King” beds are actually 2 twin beds together so they may be separated by you if you desire.

The Optional ground-level suite" (+$100 flat per night for guests over 6) adds space and capacity for additional guests with a sofa, trundle bed and day bed. If you would like the extra space, (8-10 people) please note in your reservation request, and hit "7” guests so the price will be correct and we will open up the additional space for you to use.

The house is fully furnished and includes access to a full kitchen with utensils, plates, pots and pans. The house is great for families and long evening dinners on the beautiful deck with great views of the water. Don't forget to try an catch some crabs to eat before you leave! :)

Come by car or by boat-- we've got parking for both! The 80ft private pier accommodates up to four boats, offers great crabbing, and is just off the Chesapeake Bay. The water level is around 3ft. If you are feeling adventurous, we have three kayaks that guests are welcome to use to explore the coves of Oyster Creek and the Chesapeake Bay. Or just sit back and try to spot the osprey, blue herons, or bald eagles from the spacious deck.

Feel free to reach out with any questions you have about the house (but serious inquiries only, please!) We hope to see you soon. As noted in the "house rules", we absolutely do not tolerate any large parties, pets or smoking in the house. community does not allow street parking. There is room for 3-5 cars on the driveway and/or in the garage.

There is a 4 day minimum stay weekends in July & August

Guest access
Unless you request the additional ground floor suite, for groups larger than 6 guests, the default is that we will close off the area. It's less cleaning and less preparation for us. You can always let us know if you change your mind, and we'll alter the reservation and open it up for you. (We do not sub-rent this space so you still have the house to your own).

Other things to note
* We have a policy that we do not rent to students, as we had issues in the past. If you are staying with your parents, however, we would love to have you! The open gallery and second floor deck is “not toddler friendly” Thanks for understanding.

*Absolutely no large parties. The house can accommodate 10 people. If our neighbors see many more than that at the house they will call us and/or the police and you will be evicted. Sorry but we are firm on this policy for your protection, our neighbors, and ours.

*Groups over 6... Book for “7” guests and you can have 4 additional guests (7-10 total) and we will open up the ground floor Family room and utilize room bathroom. We usually keep the ground floor kitchen locked up.

I was born and raised in Annapolis, and I love bringing my friends to my hometown for sailing, crabbing, and hanging out in historic downtown. I also enjoy playing lacrosse, trail running, and roaming around in unique neighborhoods around the world -- my recent favorite is around the Canal Saint-Martin in Paris, which I fell in love with after spending a year in Paris for grad school. ---------- We run our Airbnb rentals as a family - I manage the reservations, and my parents, Bob and Sharon, live nearby and own the house. We hope to meet you soon!
