Relax with the whole family at our comfortable waterfront home, all but one room are on a single level, only 3 steps to enter, easy water access to the Chesapeake Bay. A short drive to restaurants make this great for resting and active vacationing.

The space
King bed in the first floor master bedroom suite with a water view and queen bed in the other two first floor bedrooms all provide a wonderful nights rest, each with a private closet and room darkening blinds.

Light from plenty of extra tall windows make the home bright and cheery. All of the rooms are on one level except a single bedroom upstairs, there are only three steps to enter the home.

A large open space with a cathedral ceiling makes it easy for a large family to spend time together includes the gas fireplace, living room, kitchen, a kitchen bar/counter and kitchen table.

Our separate dining room seats 8 comfortably at a Teak dining table.

The kitchen is well equipped for preparing family meals.

The upstairs bedroom with a bunk bed with a twin and full sized mattresses and a pull out trundle bed and a TV create a fun space for the kids..

Guest access
Guests are free to use the entire home with the exception of the attic, the crawl space, the shed and a single closet used to store housekeeping supplies. Feel free to dock your boat at our house (4ft MLW).

Other things to note
The river is perfect for kayaking and swimming because it has no boat through traffic since it narrows to a creek a little past our place.

- Sonos speakers give great sound to the space (just airplay to them)
- Smart TVs in the living room and each bedroom have TiVo with HBO, ESPN, local channels
- A good selection of games and books
- Coffee: Keurig and drip with a few servings of regular and decaf coffee, tea
- Personal hygiene items in each bathroom (Shampoo, soap, shaving kits, tooth brush, toothpaste, lotion)
- Restaurants and shopping are 10-15 minutes from the house, rural without the long drive!
- EV charging via a 50 amp, NEMA-50 RV outlet at the corner of the garage
- Boating: The pier can accommodate power boats that require four feet or less water level and has electric power. There are many restaurants within a 15 minute boat ride. The boat ramp on Crane's Landing Road is a 5 minute drive and a 20 minute boat ride from the house.

This home is located in a rural quiet, wooded subdivision with paved roads well suited for walking and riding bikes (we have 2 in the garage). There is no through traffic.

Our favorite nearby attractions include:
- TJ's Dairy Barn has great homemade ice cream and my favorite hand made hamburgers and is only 10 minutes away
- Jayce Vinyard, live music on Friday nights, open Friday/Saturday, less than 10 minutes away
Good Luck Vinyards provides a pleasant setting for enjoying local wine and snacks, 10 minutes away
- Compass Entertainment Complex (movie theaters, mini-golf, ropes course, arcade, go carts, batting cages and more), 20 minutes away
- Kilmarnock restaurants and shopping, 15 minutes away
- Irvington restaurants and shopping, 24 minutes away
- Hughlett Point Natural Area, trails and beach, 18 minutes away
- Belle Isle State Park, beach, picnic areas, trails, 30 minutes away
- YMCA in Kilmarnock with a pool and a gym, 22 minutes away

We love boating to local restaurants Horn Harbor and Reedville Market are each only about a 15 minute boat ride.

If you are willing to drive a little further, historic Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown provide great day trips about one hour away.

My husband and I run our rentals because I love to help people live life well. Our family has fond memories of the trips we took together, often in Virginia's Northern Neck region and we want to help others experience the same kind of fun. We enjoy traveling together, and now that our kids are adults we especially enjoy staying at vacation rentals that cater to more mature folks who enjoy finding a new place to relax and enjoy some quiet time. We have raised kids and know how tough it can be to put together a fun vacation too and hope that we can make that a little easier for the parents out there :)
