My fiancée and I had a great experience. We were able to do some grocery shopping and use the kitchen to have breakfast. It was a perfect location for us. We love a the view of the beach. I would recommend the apartment to friends. Keep in mind, it is a small apartment, there is only a hot plate so you cannot do much cooking. The location is perfect though. David does allow you to park in his garage which is extremely helpful
Everything was good. The Appartment is as is was discribed in the offer. For "Germans" may be a little "very American" (carpet in the room, kitchen a little poor equipped, bed very soft) - but the location is FANTASTIC and David is extremely friendly and helpful :-) I would return always and always again...
Stayed at David's property on 2 night stay in LA for hockey. The location was great with a view of the ocean from your bed/balcony. There was also a garaged parking spot which was a bonus as parking in Venice appeared to cost a fortune. it did get a little warm in the apartment due to no air conditioning but we were gone most of the day and simply opened the windows at night which cooled the place down. I would stay at this location if I return.
This place was great for us. It is only separated from the beach by a small parking lot. To be clear you are paying for the location. The fan was broken in the bathroom and the furnishings are modest, but you can hear and see the waves from the balcony or inside the room. The garage is a tight fit and the door tends to move around when it is windy so you'll need to have someone hold it up while you drive your car in. Venice Beach is an awesome place to hang out and we ended up extending our stay rather than moving on to somewhere else.
David's place is in a fantastic location. His place is small but it's exactly what we were looking for. There is nothing like waking up and seeing the beach first thing in the morning. Contacting David was very easy and his directions were on par, we had no problem finding his place. If you're looking to stay in a location that is close to Santa Monica (biking and far walking distance) and literally 10 minutes to muscle beach, the Venice skate park and anything else you'd want to see around Venice then this is the place for you.
Great location! Good little apartment with everything you need. Clean, tidy and welcoming. Plenty of information and communication on access and directions. Would definitely come back again!
Perfect location! As a single female, I felt safe here. The hall has pet odour, but inside the room its fine.

I am an LA native grew up near the Beach became a musician and played in Rock and Roll Bands during the 70's and was very fortunate to see the world with my bandmates. Ended up living in Aspen CO for 20 years and then moved back here to the beach 4 years ago. Still can't decide what I like more between the ocean and the mountains. Oh well I will survive. One thing I do not like is traffic and I try to stay out of it- for sure during peak travel times. I have been a yoga instructor and I love a good time-travel yarn. Presently I have been working on my musical called The Perfect Pitch about an epic struggle between Music and Noise with the fate of mankind at stake.
