This was a lovely home for our brief stay in Arles. The location is within easy walking distance to most all of the city's tourist attractions. The garden is lovely, and the art work in the house is wonderful. Pierre was very flexible and welcoming in meeting us at the apartment, and gave us a wonderful overview of the city and excellent recommendations on restaurants. There was a BBQ with supplies in the garden which we took advantage of one evening. Only down side was lots of mosquitos in Arles in June. Fortunately the house has fans in all the rooms, though it still gets pretty hot at night with the windows shut to keep out the mosquitos. Overall, a wonderful home and convenient location. BTW, parking is not adjacent to the house (narrow old streets), but there is free parking on the street only a couple of blocks away. Not a problem since the house is within walking distance to most anything to see in Arles, and the car is nearby for day trips out of town.
Highly recommended. Excellent location a few minutes walk from shops and restaurants. Plenty of space and a full set of appointments and facilities. Brilliant decor.
Patrice collected us at the station (unasked) and helped with a difficult tour problem. Also there's a valuable info pack in the apartment from Pierre. Book with confidence.
This house is paradise on Earth...
Enchanted garden yard...rare and beautiful furnishings, carefully made up beddings with much love to every detail. We spent a week as a family of four and could benefit of the entire house. The weather wasn't good for the start but nobody of us seemed to care... we had fantastic ingredients from the market in Arles and good books with us. The weather eventually changed and we had the chance to visit the wilds of the estuary, the Rhone delta...flamingos, wild horses...
This is the good life!
Sylvie and Patrice thank you for sharing this wonderful place!
Definitely one of the nicest places I've stayed in on Airbnb. The house is absolutely bursting with character and really stylishly decorated. Unfortunately it was a little too cold to make use of the beautiful garden. Everything around communication, check in, check out was also very smooth and easy. Would highly recommend.
The most wonderful house (furnished in a very cool homely fashion) great kitchen for cooking (supermarkets at the end of the street) and a delightful garden - all in a suburb of France that we adored. The first day we discovered the antique markets, then on Saturday the most incredible food markets (keep walking to the end you'll find the best fresh meat seafood and veges). My favourite air bnb house yet. A great spot to explore Southern France. Pont de gard, vineyards and pink flamingos only 30mins away. J'adore la maison! Book it you won't be sorry. It's divine.
The house is very nice and even if given the season we could not use the garden in spring must be even more charming. Wonderful kitchen. The host was kind and responsive to our requests. In winter the lower floor is kind of cold.
