Interaction with Guests
As your Host, I am here to offer you excellent service and facilitate your stay in every way possible. We are 6.5 miles from East Hampton Village. Unfortunately, there are not any recommended restaurants or food stores within walking distance of my location. It is highly recommended that Guests have a nice meal on the way before arrival or plan to visit one of our world-class restaurants in the Village after checking in. There are numerous local taxis that will gladly bring you to East Hampton Village and restaurant of your choice. We supply guests with detailed maps and preferred shopping or restaurant choices.
It is two miles to the famous Springs General Store and Pollack Krasner Museum. The house is conveniently located a short walk to bay beaches excellent for hiking, kayaking and fishing. Ocean beaches are as close as 17 minutes away by car with famed Ditch Plains Surfing Beach in Montauk only a 30-minute drive. Please view our detailed Guide Book and Map for more Information.
Traveling TO and FROM East Hampton:
You have two options on public transportation.
1) Hampton Jitney motor coach leaving hourly from various stops in New York City
2) Long Island Railroad leaving approximately three times per day from Penn Station.
Please feel free to contact us regarding transportation to and from the LIRR or Hampton Jitney stops in East Hampton Village. We are happy to arrange pick up to facilitate your trip out East.
If you want to enjoy the area at your own pace, you can take the train to Southampton and rent a car from Hertz Car Rental across from the train station. Just tell the Manger we referred you. Southampton is a short 30 minute drive to East Hampton.
Local Bus & Bicycle Rental:
The local 10B bus runs immediately outside the front and brings you directly into the East Hampton village area where you can transfer to other Suffolk County Transit busses. Get the exercise that you’ve been longing for by renting a bike from Khanh Sports in East Hampton. They have a really cool single speed beach Cruiser with oversized tires for $25/day or a 21 speed Hybrid for $35/day. They offer weekly and monthly rentals as well and will take your reservation over the phone with a credit card.

Love + Light,
We had a nice time staying at Elissa's place. Accommodations were as described and quite comfortable. Elissa was also very helpful giving us recommendations for both dining and exploring the area. We had a lovely day based on her recommendations.
Together with my daughter I spend a wonderful long weekend in East Hampton and Elissa had a big contribution for these days.
The booking was very easy and the upfront information was very helpful to plan the trip. Elissa makes it very easy to feel yourself comfortable and “at home”. She is very helpful with here local in view and her breakfast (organic!!) is a perfect start of the day.
Our room was very comfortable and we also enjoyed sitting in her garden
I recommend CREATIVE SANCTUARY with its nice and relaxed atmosphere
This beautiful creative sanctuary was exactly that, from the moment you walk through the door you are welcomed by Elissa and escorted around her beautiful home which has the essence of a calming spa yet the style of a chic boutique hotel, each room having its own unique va va voom.. I would highly recommend this gem in the Hamptons..
The listing for this room was mostly accurate. We were three adults staying in one room. The room had a king bed and a twin size bed. The beds were very comfortable but they took up the whole room. We could not walk around at all and had to move to get out of each other's way for basic tasks. The closet was locked so we had very little space for our suitcases and belongings.
Elissa made us feel comfortable as possible in the house. We were able to sit on the back deck and in the living room when needed. We knew ahead of time that we had to wear only inside shoes in the house.
Elissa provided a light breakfast of fresh fruit, healthy bread and coffee. We also had great conversation along with our meal.
The description of the home was definitely accurate, and she has a beautiful home. I was not the typical guest for this type of accommodation as my friend and I really only needed a bed (each) for a night before an early race the next morning in Montauk.
Elissa was overall very nice, and her description of the house was accurate. While the description was accurate, there was some confusion. The post said there were two beds in the room (and there were), a king size and a twin. However, since I had not specifically requested two beds, the twin bed was not "made up." I was under the impression that since we were two people, we could have both beds. I now understand that it was my responsibility to request both, if I expected both beds to be ready. What was slightly irksome is that she did not offer us sheets to make the bed ourselves. She instead asked that we not leave our luggage on the beds. We did not feel that she was particularly accommodating in this regard.
I wanted to escape the city for a few days and Elissa's place was perfect - I went to sleep to the sound of silence, rather than sirens, and woke up to the sound of birds! I slept like a log on the extremely comfortable bed, and enjoyed a simple, yet delicious and healthy breakfast and good conversation with Elissa and the other guests. The house was very clean and tidy, and her backyard is incredibly beautiful and relaxing. Elissa was a great host - got back to me straight away, helped with directions to get to her place from NYC (I caught the Hampton Jitney there, and the LIRR back to the city) and was even lovely enough to pick me up on arrival from the bus stop in East Hampton and take me back to her place, as the timing coincided with her shopping trip to the village. Elissa also recommended a bike hire place, and I spent a great day riding out to Montauk and back. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing escape from the city, this is a great choice. Only tip - bring an eye mask for the morning as the room is light. This didn't bother me as I always sleep wearing one anyway, but you might otherwise be waking up super early if you don't bring one! A great stay - I feel refreshed! Thanks Elissa.
