Interaction with Guests
As your Host, I am here to offer you excellent service and facilitate your stay in every way possible. We are 6.5 miles from East Hampton Village. Unfortunately, there are not any recommended restaurants or food stores within walking distance of my location. It is highly recommended that Guests have a nice meal on the way before arrival or plan to visit one of our world-class restaurants in the Village after checking in. There are numerous local taxis that will gladly bring you to East Hampton Village and restaurant of your choice. We supply guests with detailed maps and preferred shopping or restaurant choices.
It is two miles to the famous Springs General Store and Pollack Krasner Museum. The house is conveniently located a short walk to bay beaches excellent for hiking, kayaking and fishing. Ocean beaches are as close as 17 minutes away by car with famed Ditch Plains Surfing Beach in Montauk only a 30-minute drive. Please view our detailed Guide Book and Map for more Information.
Traveling TO and FROM East Hampton:
You have two options on public transportation.
1) Hampton Jitney motor coach leaving hourly from various stops in New York City
2) Long Island Railroad leaving approximately three times per day from Penn Station.
Please feel free to contact us regarding transportation to and from the LIRR or Hampton Jitney stops in East Hampton Village. We are happy to arrange pick up to facilitate your trip out East.
If you want to enjoy the area at your own pace, you can take the train to Southampton and rent a car from Hertz Car Rental across from the train station. Just tell the Manger we referred you. Southampton is a short 30 minute drive to East Hampton.
Local Bus & Bicycle Rental:
The local 10B bus runs immediately outside the front and brings you directly into the East Hampton village area where you can transfer to other Suffolk County Transit busses. Get the exercise that you’ve been longing for by renting a bike from Khanh Sports in East Hampton. They have a really cool single speed beach Cruiser with oversized tires for $25/day or a 21 speed Hybrid for $35/day. They offer weekly and monthly rentals as well and will take your reservation over the phone with a credit card.

Love + Light,
We had a very nice time staying with Elissa. She is a gracious host and keep the house extremely clean. Our bedroom was very clean, had an excellent new king size bed with very nice linens, lots of clean towels, A/C and fan, wifi access. Elissa made tasty breakfast every morning ready for us when we got up. She was also very organized with all logistics and details....Great place to stay in the Hamptons and very close to Gardeners Bay beautiful area.
Elissa was a fantastic hostess! Her property is gorgeous and is in a very convient location. The room was just perfect; spotless, comfortable and spacious. She is the ultimate Hamptonite and was kind enough to give us recommendations for local restaurants (which were spot on). I highly recommend staying at Elissa's lovely home. I'd go back just to see her. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
If you are looking for a mix of relax and inspiration with a touch of kindness, Elissa's home is your perfect destination in the Hampton. She was the perfect host from the beginning to the end, providing all the support we needed. Her home and her garden are just lovely, and the location is very convenient to access the best of the Hampton in no time. Staying at her place is like reading a book, any objects out there tells a story and Elissa is a good storyteller: she is humble but apparently hides an unique life. I fully recommend Elissa's home and I know now why it's called the Creative Sanctuary, it's truly is.
Elissa was an amazing host! Her residence is not only beautiful, but also very comfortable. She was extremely accommodating to our tight schedule, and offered some amazing tips of what to see around town! The Jackson Pollock-Lee Krasner House just down the road was truly a highlight, and we wouldn't have had a clue it was there without her guidance. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet stay in Springs.
The room is as described. There's a king size bed and very limited space to walk around. I totally agree with some of the reviewers that the vibe from the hostess is odd, it definitely doesn't feel like home and your every move is watched. Also, we were arriving late on Friday (~12am) and that caused all sorts of drama, the hostess said that check in was at 6pm and threatened to charge us for the late check in (she didn't). At 10am on Sunday she came to remind us that check out was at 11am. 10 days after we left, I received an angry email from the the hostess claiming that we left a heat stain on a side table (we didn't) and threatening to complain to airbnb and asking for reimbursement. Bottom line - if you want to avoid drama, I would stay away from this place. I usually only write reviews if I have something good to say, but in this case I felt I need to warn others. The price/location are good though to be fair.
This guest was 3 hours away from our location. She arrived 7 hours late at 1:00 AM in the morning. Guests are requested in the House Rules to refrain from bringing food or drink to their rooms. Upon check out, extensive heat ring damage from a hot beverage was found on a valuable vintage tabletop in this guest's room. She was notified twice via Airbnb Message and never responded. This case was turned over to Airbnb to recover the cost of repair.
The house is beautiful and in a very quiet neighborhood. The host is collecting Chinese antique, so all of the decorations are oriental. Rooms are clean. The best thing is the mattress. When you sleep, it is really dark outside. There is also a private beach open to owners only that you can visit.
Elissa was a great host! Super friendly, communicative and helpful in every situation. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I went to the Hamptons for a business trip, so her place was just right to relax between work and regain energy. I highly recommend her as a host.
