We are 6.5 miles from East Hampton Village and a two-mile walk to the famous Springs General Store and Pollack Krasner Museum. The house is conveniently located a short walk to bay beaches excellent for hiking, kayaking and fishing. Ocean beaches are as close as 17 minutes away by car with famed Ditch Plains Surfing Beach in Montauk only a 30-minute drive. Please view our detailed Guide Book for more Information.

Getting around

Traveling to and from East Hampton, you have two options on public transportation:

1) Hampton Jitney motor coach leaving hourly from various stops in New York City
2) Long Island Railroad leaving approximately three times per day from Penn Station

If you want to enjoy the area at your own pace, you can take the train to Southampton and rent a car from Hertz Car Rental across from the train station. Just tell Jake the Manger we referred you. Southampton is a short 30 minute drive to East Hampton.

Without a car? No worries! The local 10B bus runs immediately outside the front and brings you directly into the East Hampton village area where you can shop or just browse the lovely shops. The summer offers Hamptons Free Ride from the village that will take you around the business district and to the ocean at Main Beach (please check web site for map). Get the exercise that you’ve been longing for by renting a bike from Khanh Sports in East Hampton. They have a really cool single speed beach Cruiser with oversized tires for $25/day or a 21 speed Hybrid for $35/day. They offer weekly and monthly rentals as well and will take your reservation over the phone with a credit card. Ready for a night out? East West Taxi will gladly bring you to the restaurant of your choice. We supply guests with detailed maps and preferred shopping or restaurant choices.

Please feel free to contact us regarding transportation to and from the LIRR or Hampton Jitney stops in East Hampton Village. We are happy to arrange pick up to facilitate your trip out East.

  • A truly gorgeous house with a beautiful private garden, in a peaceful wooded area near the water. Elissa was a wonderful host during our short stay, offering great advice on local restaurants and attractions and providing refreshments. Very impressive selection of teas! Highly recommended.

  • My niece and I traveled to the Hampton's for the Hampton's Marathon. Elissa was a great host for the night before our race. Her home is very welcoming and serene. The home is in a short walk to the beach and we enjoyed picking up shells and stones along the way. The home is also convenient to East Hampton where we enjoyed a pasta dinner before the race at Sam's which was an excellent suggestion from Elissa. Great food at a reasonable price. There were several other racers who stayed with Elissa the evening before the race so it was fun to meet other runners as well. Elissa had a great pre-run breakfast for us of fresh fruit and yummy toast. Good coffee too!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed with Elissa in her cozy, well-furnished home for a weekend retreat from the city. She has a beautiful backyard with a pond and patio and the bedroom was gorgeous with white linen drapings and sheets/covers. Her home has a secluded, peaceful feel and it was lovely to wake up to the sound of birds! Elissa was very kind and accommodating throughout...she offered great advice on activities and places to see..and her recommendations for restaurants were on point. East Hampton is a jewel of a town and I would recommend anyone to come visit the Hamptons and to stay here..especially in the early fall! Thanks so much for having us Elissa :-)

  • Elissa's home is beautiful and restful, and she was an excellent hostess. Highly recommended for a quiet getaway.

    September 2013
  • Is not an easy task to describe an experience as POSITIVE as our stay at Elissa's home. The energy of the house is amazing... so calm, peaceful and tranquil. The place is always impeccably clean and fragrant, with delicate and refined aromas everywhere (bath towels, sheets). We will never forget the house's aromas, so good! The location is great in a very quiet area (the night sound is indescribable, sleep becomes unique)... At the same time it takes 15 minutes by car to the main street of The East Hamptons!
Elissa became a friend, extremely kind , caring , gentle and intelligent (we loved to chat with her)! From booking to our arrival in the United States, Elissa was always in touch and responding promptly via text message, email and phone! It was an exceptional experience and we will certainly go back for longer! We already miss the house, the puppy and Elissa! Thanks for all! :)

  • My girlfriend and I had a great stay with Elissa, she is so nice and pays attention to every detail. The house is very well situated for a trip to the Hamptons, well taken care of, and Elissa very nicely gave us a lot of advices for restaurants, places to go visit, things to do. We had a great time and I wish I could come back every week-end!

  • Staying at Ellissa is familiar and independent at the same time, which makes it great. The house is totally beautiful,
And Elissa is the type of host that would do her best to help with anything you might need. Great.

  • Elissa's house is just beautiful ! It's a peaceful place in the woods 6km far from the city center of East Hamptons. The rooms are very well decorated, the bathroom is very nice and she has a huge and wonderful garden. We had a very good breakfast with fruits and multigrain toasts. It was a perfect stay and Elissa is a great host ! Hope to stay there during my next week-end in the Hamptons. Thank you so much !

  • Elissa was a gem. So warm and welcoming, she really made our stay in the Hamptons special. She gave us great dinner advice and serves us a lovely breakfast in the morning. Also very communicative over text -- never felt like she was unavailable or uncommunicative.
Couldn't have asked for a better trip!

    August 2013
  • Elissa has made her tasteful, crispy clean and comfortable house into the ultimate place to stay and relax in the Hamptons. We discovered her to be a very engaged Hampton-resident, providing us with both useful practical information about the surroundings as well as an insider's view on the local "state of affairs". We had trouble to leave this peaceful oasis after enjoying the rich fresh fruit breakfast in the delightful garden. Thank you Elissa for giving us a very special Hampton experience!
