Other Things to Note
Please note that there are three flights of stairs leading to my flat and although most people do not find them a problem they may not be suitable for visitors with mobility limitations.
I expect guests to be considerate when entering & leaving my home & behave in an appropriate manner, as the entrance & stairs are a communal area. To be respectful of my belongings & agree to pay for any breakages, any damaged or stolen items will be replaced on a new for old basis. The bathroom & bedroom will be cleaned in advance of your visit, I would request that both be left in a tidy condition. I will provide clean towels & bed linen. Visitors are not permitted to enter my bedroom, but I don't mind the living area & balcony being used. I reserve the right to request anyone behaving in an unacceptable way leave the property immediately & the arrangement be terminated, without return of fee. There is a no smoking policy inside the property but guests are welcome to smoke on the balcony and I would request that food is not stored in the bedroom as guests may use the kitchen.
Pets are not permitted as the property is not suitable.
Having said all of this I'm a friendly type & would love to take time to show people around London,
This was my first experience with Air BnB. It was great! So easy! I needed a temporary home in my daughter's neighbourhood in London. This could not possibly have been a better fit. My room was exactly as advertised - clean, spacious, quiet and private. Having my own bathroom was a huge bonus. Libby and Gary couldn't have been lovelier or more gracious! Right from the start when Gary waited all day for my arrival as my travel plans went awry - no problem! My husband may or may not be able to join me - no problem! Is it possible to bring my daughter and her newborn by, perhaps for nap in my room as they are living in a noisy construction zone - no problem! If I decide to stay a few days longer than originally planned, should I look for new accomodations - no problem! I felt totally at home during my stay with Libby and Gary even though I'm afraid I treated their home more like a hotel with my early mornings and late evenings. Whenever I happened to catch either ( or both) of them at home, they always offered a beverage and asked how my stay was going. Lots of lovely conversations! Lots of suggestions for events, venues, restaurants and transportation choices. Thanks so very much to both of you! Looking forward to seeing you in Calgary soon!
Libby was a lovely host. We only stayed for a short time but Libby made us feel very comfortable.
The location is perfect if you're heading to a gig in Brixton with free parking nearby. The facilities provided by Libby were clean and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend Libby and her flat!
I only stayed briefly with Libby but it was absolute pleasure to be her guest. The apartment is very cosy and conveniently located. Bot herself and her partner were very welcoming and would certainly recommend staying at their place.
It was great stating with Libby again and although we saw very little of each other we were still made to feel very welcome and the hospitality was as great as ever
This review came late after the stay and i truly apologise for this but then again the short stay in Libby's apartment was indeed excellent. Her hospitality was magnificent as she ensures that we settled down comfortably... Her apartment was everything as described and was so well-kept and clean. Libby even prepared breakfast for us before we left. We would definitely recommend or return to libbys apartment if we visit london again. It was entirely a great and worth it experience and i give libby a five star!!!
This was our first experience with Airbnb, and it couldn't have been better or more comfortable thanks to Libby. We had several opportunities to chat with her and her partner Gary, and both were very helpful with any information that we required, and also great company to spend time with.
The Airbnb apartment description was accurate. Our bedroom had plenty of closet and storage space, a TV, though we were welcome to view the set in the living room, and our private and spacious bathroom was just a step across the hall. Libby was generous in letting us use the kitchen appliances, and had coffee and breakfast foods on hand for us to enjoy. I loved having a quiet cup of morning coffee in the sunny kitchen overlooking the rooftops or stepping out onto the balcony. Libby's apartment is near a major road with buses that took us to the tube or beyond to various parts of the city. On our first evening, my husband and I took the Marble Arch bus and saw all the famous London sights along the way, Parliament, the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, and more. At the Brixton tube entrance, there's a Starbucks, a Boot's pharmacy nearby, and a cozy café above Morley's clothes store, all of which we made use of. The Brixton Village Arcade, also near the tube, is a bustling space made over to house many restaurants offering a variety of foods. We found it a fun place for dinner.
We were made to feel welcomed in Libby's home. Her apartment had a feeling of calmness and warmth which we looked forward to after a hard day of sightseeing. Thank you, Libby and Gary, for being excellent hosts!
The place is exactly as described in the photos. Simply loved spending this day here in the flat Libby! Gary is a lovely and helpful man! Perfectly located. Close to everything! Thank you Libby and Gary!
