Built in 1938,, this scenic, cozy, rustic cabin features almost 800 sqft. of living space with a gas fireplace for those chilly nights. It has 1 large secure deck on the lower level with a propane BBQ and a large 2nd level balcony with beautiful vistas. There is a well equipped eat-in kitchen, a 3/4 bathroom downstairs, and a Jack-&-Jill style 1/2 bathroom upstairs. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs with 3 beds, 1 queen in the larger room, and 1 full and 1 twin in the smaller bedroom. The couch in the living space folds out to a full-size bed. The cabin is decorated in classic, rustic, cabiny, fisherman style.

DO YOU ACCEPT LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS?

Check-in/out times are flexible depending on other guests leaving the day you arrive or coming the day you leave.

No. There is a 3/4 bath, which includes a sink, toilet, and shower, and a 1/2 bath which includes a sink and a toilet.
IS THERE WIFI?
WILL MY CELL PHONE WORK AT THE CABIN?
Verizon is the only cell service that works at the cabin. All other service providers will be spotty. Text may go through if you need to contact the host.
CAN I WALK TO GREEN VALLEY LAKE OR THE VILLAGE FROM THE CABIN?
Yes, the cabin is an easy 5 min. walk to the lake or village
HOW FAR IS THE CABIN FROM BIG BEAR?
Green Valley Lake is 25 miles West of Big Bear, a 30+ min. drive depending on weather, road, and traffic conditions.
WHERE IS THE CLOSEST SKIING?
Nearest Skiing is Snow Valley Mountain Resort (Approx. 6 miles away, 15min drive).
WILL THERE BE SNOW?
If your stay is contingent on snow or no snow; it is best to monitor the weather prior to your stay before making your booking request. Snowy, icy conditions may exist in the winter.
CAN I SLED ON THE PROPERTY?
Due to liability reasons, there is NO sledding on the property. Please do NOT trespass on neighbors properties to sled. Host will provide guests with information on local areas where sledding is permitted. Ideas are listed in the Guest Resources sections visible to confirmed guests.
DO I NEED TIRE CHAINS FOR MY VEHICLE?
CHP requires possession of chains/cables when traveling mountain roads in the winter. Chains can be purchased at the base of the mountain Highland Ave. & Hwy330 at the Super Walmart. Be sure to get the right size as chains cannot be returned.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
Per county code, all guests must park in the driveway. There is no street parking for guests.
WILL I HAVE TO SHOVEL SNOW?
Snow will be removed prior to guests arrival. Guests are responsible for removing snow should it snow during their stay. The host will provide guests with snow removal service contact information. Shovel(s) are provided should guests want to remove the snow themselves during their stay. For safety and liability reason do not hire snow removal services from people walking by with shovels advertising door to door.
CAN I BRING MY DOG(S)?
The vacation rental is dog-friendly, and well-behaved dog(s) and their owners who abide by the leash laws and pick-up after their dog(s) are welcome. However, breed and size of dog(s) must be approved by host prior to accepting a booking. Please do not allow the dog on furniture and beds, doggies beds are provided. Do not leave your dog(s) in the cabin unattended.
IS THERE A FENCED YARD OR SECURED DECK FOR MY DOG?
Both upper and lower decks are secured. There is NO fenced yard.
I HAVE A LARGE GROUP, CAN WE HAVE MORE THAN THE MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY?
No, max occupancy is strictly enforced. Booking guests will be asked to confirm the number of all guests including kids and infants.
DO I HAVE TO TAKE MY TRASH HOME WITH ME?
No, the cleaning fee covers trash removal. Please tightly secure trash in cans provided outside to ensure animals/wildlife do not spread contents.
DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN SHEETS AND TOWELS?
No, the cleaning fee covers basic laundry services. Clean sheets and towels are provided.
WHAT OTHER SUPPLIES ARE PROVIDED?
The cleaning fee covers basic supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and soap.
IS THERE A GROCERY STORE IN TOWN TO BUY FOOD?
There is a small market in Green Valley Lake called the General Store, but it is more like a convenience store. It is recommended that guests purchase food prior to coming up the mountain. There is a super Walmart conveniently located at the base of the mountain at Highland Ave. & Hwy 330.
ARE SPICES / CONDIMENTS PROVIDED?
No, guests are encouraged to bring their own spices and condiments.
DO YOU HAVE A LIST OF ALL THE KITCHEN WARES?
No, a list of kitchen items is not provided. The kitchen appliances include a small apartment size gas stove/oven, standard size frig/freezer and microwave. Small appliances including a toaster, crock pot Keurig coffee brewer. The kitchen is stocked with basic cooking wares like pots, pans, dishes, and utensils.
DO I NEED TO BRING PROPANE TO USE THE BBQ?
No, propane is provided.
CAN I HAVE A BONFIRE OUTSIDE?
No. Due to fire safety reasons, outside fires are prohibited.
CAN I USE THE FIREPLACE?
Yes. Do not put any combustibles in the gas fireplace..
CAN I LIGHT CANDLES?
No. Candles are only permitted if there is a power outage. Flameless candles are provided.
IS THERE A/C?
Yes, there is an A/C unit in the livingroom, and 1 bedroom. The cabin is located in the mountains at 7000' altitude, and therefore can be up to 20 degrees cooler than sea level. You can also open windows, and turn on auxiliary fans to ventilate.
IS THE PROPERTY ISOLATED?
The Property is located in a mountain community and is surrounded by neighboring cabins. The community itself is surrounded by forest. The property will not meet your needs if you are looking for solitude.
DO I NEED TO BRING BOTTLED WATER?
No. The water from the tap comes from natural mountain springs and wells, and tastes delicious!
No firearms or fireworks.
No Illegal drugs or underage drinking.
For liability reasons, we can not accept a booking if all guests are adults, but some or all or those guests are under 21.

Do not use the wifi to violate copyrights, host will be notified.
Property is not recommended for your stay if you have limited mobility or allergies to dogs.
Due to the remote location of the cabin and the possibility of adverse weather in the mountain regions, cell phone service, cable, and wifi may be interrupted. If you are dependent on cell phone service, cable, or wifi the cabin may not meet your vacation needs.
