I have available for rent a private, furnished bedroom in my 1,000 sf, high-floor condominium located one block from Luxury Row in Waikiki (this is not a rental of an entire home or apartment; I live in this unit with my own bedroom). This is a clean, quiet, and friendly place to spend while you are on vacation. The room has a full size bed, closet, and dresser and private bathroom near the room. You will enjoy gorgeous mountain and city views from the living and dining rooms and a stunning view of the ocean from the bedroom. Bus stops, shopping, and beaches are all within a short walking distance.

Check-in time on weekdays is after 4:30 pm and after 3:00 pm on weekends and holidays. The condo building does not have a concierge to hold your luggage. Early check-in may be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
Bus stops within one to two blocks away. Very walkable area.
Other Things to Note
The building is located in a major city. Guests choose this place for the convenience to shops, restaurants, transportation, beaches, and other entertainment venues. If you are looking for a very quiet, peaceful sanctuary, please seek accommodation elsewhere.
A car is not necessary in Waikiki and the surrounding areas. I do not provide parking. Parking is available on the street or in nearby PAY garages and lots. If you expect to quickly find FREE street parking directly in front of the building or if you get easily frustrated while finding FREE street parking, please seek accommodation elsewhere.

Cable TV, including local channels and HD content
*All appliances in the unit are in good working order, however, their operation is not guaranteed 24 hours/day, 365 days/year.
*Overnight sleeping is not permitted in any room in the unit other than the guest room. The room has one full-size bed and no extra beds will be provided.
*Street parking is not guaranteed anywhere within the City & County of Honolulu. Street parking and nearby pay lots are your ONLY parking options. Complaints regarding parking should be directed to the City & County of Honolulu.
*The condo is generally quiet at night, but not noise-free. No where in the state of Hawaii is noise-free, except in Haleakala crater. You may hear the occasional fire truck, motorcycle, or helicopter (in most cases, you won't). You may also experience shouting or cheering from the kayak and outrigger canoe races in the canal across the street.
*The host is not home for at least ten (10) consecutive hours daily during the work week and is home sporadically during the weekends and observed state and federal holidays. The host may also, at times, be away from the home for more than 24 consecutive hours. Therefore, the host cannot be expected to attend to the needs of the guest while he is not home, unless the guest's needs are of an extreme emergency.
*Check-in is after 4:30 pm on weekdays and after 3:00 pm on weekends and holidays. The building does not have a front desk or a concierge service to hold your luggage. Early check-in may be arranged on case-by-case basis.
*Food and drinks are to be consumed or stored in the kitchen or dining room and NOT in the guest room.
*Shoes may NOT be in direct contact with the carpets at any time.
*Please consider all of the above possible events PRIOR to making your reservation. The host is not responsible for any losses incurred by the guest due to the occurrence of any of the above-listed events. After check-in you agree to thoroughly read and abide by the policies set forth in the guest manual in the guest room. Failure to observe the policies may result in the early termination of your stay and a refund of the remaining nights not spent.
Alan was responsive to our requests. He had advice for activities. The room was the second bedroom in a condominium facing the Ala Wai Canal - a good location for Waikiki. The room is smallish, but Alan allows you to use his living and dining rooms, which are comfortable. He leaves space in the kitchen and fridge for your items and dishes to use. He has a second bathroom for your personal use, which is nice. One shares his shower, which is fine by me but I feel intrusive. We rented a car, which I probably would have not done for the entire stay because parking is a hassle. One has to search for a spot. There is a parking lot at the end of the block, but there were only 2 free spaces.
Location was pretty convenient, just few blocks walking to beautiful Waikiki beach. Host is very careful & thoughtful person. Need be keep quiet when we were home, because next room is Host's.
The host was very welcoming and kind. The apartment was clean and matched the description well. Location is central to Waikiki and easy to get in and out of. Overall I am satisfied with my experience.
Alan was very prepared and had everything laid out for us. He left us in our privacy the entire time and the place was great.

Good location but because of the Ala Wai Blvd also very noisy during the night.
