The space
The nomad Bedouin home is nestled in a small village, Little Petra, with only 70 families living in this area. From Little Petra, it has a beautiful mountainous desert view. We will prepare local home cook meals so you can learn about our lifestyle and culture through our food. Or you can get hands on and cook with the local family for an authentic experience.

Other things to note
I can help my guests with transfers from Wadi Musa, the airport or the border to the house. I have a wealth of information about Petra City and I can also guide guests through and around the area.

If guests would like additional information about other parts of Jordan I will be happy to provide that as well. I can also help guests arrange accommodation at a camp in Wadi Rum if they wish.

A Bedouin is one who was born and raised in the desert or mountain wilderness and lives alongside nature in black tents or in caves, usually raising and shepherding goats, sheeps, donkeys, horses or camels. One who can navigate and live with ease in the desert. A person who knows how to use all kinds of herbs as food, drink and medicine. Bedouins have simple life, though their famed hospitality and generosity are no myth. A Bedouin accepts and appreciates what (s)he has and is willing to share this. Happy to give and assist. Proud of who (s)he is and loyal to the land. A Bedouin sees bounty where you perceive barrenness and finds poetry in everything. It is more than a name, it is a way of life.
