Thank you so much to Jim and Janet for welcoming my friend and I into their apartment! Not only did they make us feel right at home, but they also went out of their way to accommodate us at the last minute. It is a very spacious studio and is in a great location. You really can't get a better view of NYC, day or night. I would definitely recommend this space to anyone traveling to NJ or NYC!
I am so lucky to have met Janet and Jim, they are 5 star hosts. They were able to help me with a last minute booking, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Every step was easy and clear.
The place is very easy to get to from Manhattan, you just hop on the Blvd East bus on 42nd St in front of the Burger King. The ride along the Hudson River, especially at night, is breathtaking. THe ride takes between 20-30 minutes depending on traffic, but it's always worth it. You get the same view going into New York and you can get on the bus just outside the apartment.
The apartment itself had everything needed - enough towels, clean linens, blankets, strong wifi, etc. It was perfectly clean and Jim had even provided a few snacks for us, which was a very nice touch.
The view of Manhattan from the deck is really the icing on the cake. I don't think it would ever be so cold that I wouldn't want to be out there with a cup of coffee in the morning to watch the sun rise.
Thank you Janet and Jim, I'm sure that I'll be a repeat guest.
It was really a great pleasure to stay in James Appartement. Absolutely clean and comfortable! Janet and James are really nice people, with a good sense of humor and always willing to help. After "a hard day" in Manhattan it was incredible good to come HOME to relax. Next time NY ? Next time at JAMES !
We had a very pleasant stay at Janet and Jim's place. They are a helpful couple; especially considering we made a last minute reservation. Besides, the view from their deck garden is particularly spectacular.
Janet and Jim's apartment had the most spectacular view of Manhattan. Everything else was great, the apartment looked great and Janet and Jim were wonderful hosts.
The apartment was well-furnished, with a wonderful view on Manhattan. Our hosts were very helpful and kind and came with many very good suggestions on New York and the immediate surroundings in North Bergen. We warmly recommend this place.
Janet's apartment is not super-modern, but it is quite comfortable and the terrace is absolutely stunning: very spacious and with amazing view on Hudson river and Manhattan. The hosts, Jim and Janet are very relaxed and nice people. They were holding a parking spot for us until our late arrival. I would defenitely recommend this apartment for those who prefer a stay with a great view, close to Manhattan but a lot more quiet.
We have lived in the area our whole life and enjoy the muli-cultural area. There are many fine restaurants and cultural activities within walking distance. If you love the outdoors you will love this area.
