About this listing

Riverside B & B is in the heart of Lennoxville on a busy main street. It's a short walk to Bishop's University, trails, restaurants, parks and tourists attractions. An 1890 Victorian home with character and flaws. During the summer, it's quieter than the school year, which has more traffic and activity.

The space

This room has a queen size bed (soft mattress) with a comfy comforter. There are night tables, dresser, café table, desk, chairs, and large closet. The floor is carpeted.

There is plenty of lighting from 1 window, several lamps, and ceiling light. With blackout curtains, it's easy to have a restful night. There is an alarm clock and long dressing mirror. Air conditioning is seasonal.

There are 2 shared complete bathrooms (one on the main floor), powder room, dining room, den, and kitchenette. The kitchenette, bathroom and powder room are newly renovated. If you wish, the den offers a private area to read or watch TV. When weather permits, the veranda offers lots of seating with a lovely view of the Massawippi River.

We are located on College Street which is a main road near Bishop's University, and the small downtown of Lennoxville (a burough of Sherbrooke City).

Guest access

The den, bathrooms, kitchenette and laundry room are shared. There is a lovely wrap around veranda and backyard next to Massawippi River.

Interaction with guests

I like my guest to feel like this is their home away from home. If you need anything, I will try to help you out. Depending on our availability, I do enjoy getting to know a little about my guests.

The neighborhood

I like that there are some small businesses and friendly people. Tri-Knit-T, Black Cat used bookstore, Hatley, just to name a few. Uplands is a historical site and serves a high tea.

Getting around

We're not far from bus stops, bicycle paths, and highways.

Other things to note

Please note that we are still renovating our home. None of the unfinished renovations affect our guests. Please don't hesitate to ask questions about any concerns. Thank you!

A newly-renovated house along the riverside near Bishop's University, 7 minutes walk to restaurants and the supermarket. Both Nadine and Luc are nice and helpful. Nadine picked me up from the terminus station of Sherbrooke and showed me around the neighborhood areas. She also assisted me in looking for a room and drove me the see the room. How considerate! Luc was very patient,he helped me with my 2 big luggages. Delicious breakfast is included, you may discuss the time with Nadine. Overall,a great and worthy stay here for 3 nights before I can settle down here in Sherbrooke.

Nadine is very friendly and helpful. Her home is very clean, and the breakfast was great. Loved the location, easy drive to old town Sherbrook. Very good value for the money.

Response from Nadine:
Thanks Leslie for your kind words! Thank you for your suggestion about signage. I totally agree it would make it easier to find our place. We have a Victorian bracket and light that needs to be welded. This is what we plan to hang a sign from. I can't wait!

It was a great experience. Nadine was there to greet us and provide us with essential information for our stay. It was a very nice residence that gave you an historical feel. The house was right by the river, which was also extremely neat. Highly recommend.
