About this listing
Enjoy a beautiful Cape style cottage with a large and cozy 4 season porch offering views of the beautiful warm South Coast water. Just a stones throw to the private beach. Enclosed private backyard with deck, outdoor shower, party lights, kayaks and everything needed for the complete beach vacation experience including WiFi and HD Cable TV.
House is steps to private beaches. Enjoy swimming, kayaking or fishing right on the beach across the road. There is a "public" beach (limited to the residents of Parkwood Beach) that has a life guard and a float for the kids to jump off of that is located at the end of Ash St. There are lots of neat places to explore along the sand beaches. There is also a neighborhood playground with swings, slides, and new play areas for the kids to enjoy.
The house has an updated stainless kitchen with gas cooking, soap stone counter seating and open floor plan to living room with fireplace and cable tv. Great place to entertain and spend time with friends and family. There are 4 cozy bedrooms upstairs that will accommodate 7 very comfortably. Additional sleeping space on porch day bed. Cottage also has dining room and separate office/reading space. Private Neighborhood just off 495 is easily accessible and close to everything needed including fun activities such as Golfing, Mini-Golfing, Water Wizz Water Park, Boating, Kayaking, Hiking, Shopping at LL Bean outlet and other Stores at Wareham Crossing. Also very close to Onset Village with more shopping, Marc Anthonys famous pizza, Canal Boat tours and free summertime outdoor movies. Also just minutes to historic Plymouth and the Cape Cod bridges.
Our house is in a small, family oriented beach community. The houses are mostly from the 1940's on small lots next to each other. It has long been a summer get away or full time family living for folks who like being near the ocean.
The main attraction is the ocean and the beaches you can enjoy. The bay is warm and great for kayaking and relaxing on the beach. Within the Parkwood Beach neighborhood there is also a small park about 3 blocks from our house that is an easy walk. It has slides, swings and fun things for small children to play on.
Having a car is likely necessary when staying at the house. There is not in town public transportation. You can, however, access the MBTA Commuter Rail for excursions to Boston. The station is approximately 30 minutes away in Middleboro and it has parking for your car while you train in to Boston.
Wareham is on the mainland side of the Cape, not directly on Cape Cod. The advantage is you avoid the terrible Cape traffic by getting off just before the bridge. If you plan on going to Hyannis or other Cape destinations just know that Wareham is approximately 30-40 minutes away.
Everything is included for a great stay.
Fully equipped kitchen
Full size high efficiency washer/dryer
When returning from beach, use outdoor shower in back to remove sand from feet.

Work takes my husband and I around the country, so our cape style cottage is available for most of the year. We enjoy the beach, kayaks and entertaining our friends and family there and are happy to give others the chance to experience the fun too!
