Beautiful apt that is central to everything! Downtown, 6th & Lamar area (Whole Foods, BookPeople+Cafe, Waterloo, Cafe 24, plus tons of boutiques and other restaurants and cafes), UT, the Drag (tons of cafes, restaurants), and 24th St shopping area.
This cottage style apartment is high-ceilinged, airy and very intelligently laid out!
It's conveniently located close to Downtown, UT and the 6th & Lamar shopping area (Whole Foods, BookPeople, Anthropology, Swedish Hill). It is in a quaint pocket of West Campus and is an exceptionally quiet and safe neighborhood. The AC is kickin', the WiFi is fast and overall it is an extremely comfortable apartment and close to everything!
The cottage features a full kitchen (fridge, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, along with full servicewear and cookware).
The living space has a flat screen TV (sorry no channels but there's a dvd and vhs (!) collection to choose from), and fast WiFi. There a comfy IKEA convertible sofa in the living area which folds out to be queen-sized with linens, pillows and blankets below. The bedroom has a double-sized bed with a 4" memory foam topper (which you can remove if you like a firmer bed), a small dresser, full length mirrors and room in the closet if you need to hang clothing. The bathroom is full with a tub & shower.
There is a washer & dryer located in the closet by the kitchen. This house is very appropriate for children as there are toys here and kid movies to watch. There are also twin size air mattresses available and plenty of extra linens. The front patio is a good place for smokers (please smoke responsibly!) or for kids to hang out if they want to be outside.
There is one assigned parking spot out front as well as guest parking spots for extra cars.
Many places are walkable from here, but there are also close-by bus routes: #1 will take you downtown (5 mins) and to SoCo (10-15 mins) going south, or up to the 29th & Guadalupe area--Buffalo Exchange, Spiderhouse, Wheatsville, I LUV video, etc (5 mins). The #5 and #338 are also close by.
For reference, this property is located one block east and north of Lamar and MLK.

The Blue Dahlia is a nice little flat at a good location. We enjoyed our stay there. The only thing really is that the walls are thin, so we were worried we would disturb people. But I think it was ok. Flip is a great host, and looked after us throughout our stay. She got us amazing breakfast when we arrived, and was helpful with all our queries. There was a problem with our booking, and we were worried for a while, but she sorted it all out really fast and in a great way. So all good:)
My 2 girlfriends and I stayed for the weekend. We had such a warm and memorable experience. The Blue Dahlia is electric and inviting. Flip was the hostess with the mostest! She was responsive, intuitive and welcoming. We can't wait to come back!
The reservation was canceled 7 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
It's a nice place , but has thin walls and floors and queit neighbors even though you're in a college neighbor hood ...
So you'll have to be queit like a mouse
Flip was an awesome host! Hassle free, easy to communicate with and a great decorator. I had absolutely no problems during my stay in Austin. The place was an easy walk to downtown and just about anywhere else I needed to go to in Austin. Thanks flip for my making my trip to Austin drama free!
