No open flames, candles, etc... Please respect the neighbors by not being too loud on the patio. Please don't trash the house!
I can't say enough great things about the Blue Dahlia! The space was exactly as advertised, very clean, and well taken care of. The Internet, air, and other appliances also work very well, and it was a very quiet space while I was there. Would highly recommend it!
Flip was a fabulous host! Communicative and organized. Very reliable. I would definitely stay at a place she hosts again.
Clean, spacious, charming and exactly as advertised. Easy walk around West Campus, and very convent for travel Downtown.
Flip went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and to make myself at home. Would highly recommend this listing for those looking to visit Austin.
The Blue Dhalia was exactly as advertised and a nice place to stay. Flip went above and beyond and provided coffee and snacks upon arrival and a clean apartment. Would definitely stay again.
This is the most cheerful place I have stayed in. It has a great little balcony, is well lit, clean, super-comfy, and unique. It was quiet and I slept like a baby. I walked to the UT campus in minutes and there is tons to do in the area. It is right in the middle of Austin. Flip is so nice and was very helpful. I plan to stay here again with my girlfriend during a music fest. Perfect for me.
The Blue Dahlia is really the place that fulfil any expectation it creates in its description. What you see in the photo it's what Flip has prepared for you. I've just spent a month there and the fist thing I noticed when arrived was that everything was set to you to enjoy from the very begining. There was even a jar of water in the firdge wating for me. Everything (AC, wi fi, electrodomestics, washing machine, etc.) was running perfectly.
The place is as quiet as you can imagine. It is in a complex of little cottages surrounded by trees. Neighbors were nice too and you don't even notice that they are there. The side of the street where it is located and the neighborhood are very quiet as well.
The flat itself is nice and cosy. The decoration(the blue color I recon) helps to create an atmosphere of cosiness. I had to spend a couple of days reading and wrting at home and the place was perfect for this job. The bed is in the mezzanin so you have the nicest feeling of being in a spare room.
The location is just excellent. Unbeatable, really. You can walk ten minutes and then you are on one of the nicest streets in Autin, Guadalupe, where you can find everything you can need (nice restaurants -with a wide variety of options- and bars; coffee shops, etc.). You are well connected to downtown with the bus, or you can even walk for 20 minutes and you'll be on the 6th St. where a bunch of music live bars are placed as well as theaters and cinemas. And the University is just crossing Guadalupe St., so if, for some reason you are looking for an accomodation near the UT, this is the place.
And last but not least I have to say that Flip was the most obliging and nicest host you can imagine. She was available when I needed, and answer all my questions.
If a need to go back to Austin some time in the future I won't hesitate and I will check if this place is available.
We moved to austin from California and were looking at real estate - needed a place for at least a month. Flip responded within minutes of my inquiry from my airbnb app. I'd never tried airbnb before and I was impressed. The other inquiries took people hours or in one case, a full day to respond. The Blue Dahlia was cute and well kept with everything we needed for an extended stay. The only complaints my husband and I had were the little dog in the unit below us that barked incessantly - not Flip's fault of course - but the walls are thin so there were pretty frequent noise issues, and there are flood lights right above the front porch that are on all night long which cannot be turned off - ever - and that kinda killed our buzz during the awesome thunderstorm that came through one night, and not so good for mood lighting either ;). All in all, really great first experience with airbnb, and Flip was the hostess with the mostest, for sure.

About the Host, Flip
I LOVE AIRBNB! I've been a host and traveler on airbnb for 5 years now and have loved every single person I have met on the way! I started out renting out my own funky places and now I help others rent out their spots too! I only take on properties that i love and feel good about, mostly downtown and SoCo. From Shoestring to Luxury, I'll find you sweet digs!
