About This Listing
Our condo is in a terrific location to take advantage of the wide range of summit county winter and summer pleasures. It's simple but comfortable so that you can sit back and enjoy your vacation.
Affordable, yes. Fancy,no.
The condo has a great room w/kitchen, loft with 2 queen beds + a full bath. The couch opens into another queen bed so you could sleep 6 but it would be tight. (please note that the staircase and loft are both open and could be precarious to children)
The views from the living room and deck are spectacular. A short walk away from the Summit County free shuttle (we're on the Frisco-Breck line of the Summit Stage), this a great place to spend your ski vacation.
You have access to the full condo while you stay.
Interaction with Guests
Renting of the condo is co-managed by Mekayla and her mom (Ann) so you may get communication from either of us.
We live in Boulder so generally don't get to meet our guests in person =-( However, the keys are kept in a lockbox and are easy to access at any time. Additionally, we have a property manager on-site if you have any trouble.
We are situated just a couple of miles from Breckenridge and an easy drive to Keystone, Loveland, and Vail for skiing and food as well as the Nordic ski areas/tubing in Frisco and Breckenridge.
If you come in the summer, the condo also has great access to biking, hiking, golf, and fishing.
We're near the Tiger Run Stop of the Summit Stage. The stop is right at the corner of Tiger Rd (our road) and and Route 9 . If you zoom in on (website hidden) maps you can see the little bus shelters in Street View.
The walk takes less than 10 minutes depending a little on the recent weather and how much snow there is.
Other Things to Note
We regret that the fireplace is decorative only and not for use.
No smoking, no pets, and the fireplace is decorative only, please do not use it for fires.
Also, please be courteous of our neighbors and keep your voices down after 10:30pm.
Otherwise, not too many rules around here besides the Golden one- treat our home as you'd like yours to be treated...if you have problems, let us know and we'll do what we can to make things better right away. The main thing is that you have a great time while you're here!
Oh, and like anywhere on AirBnB, if you're responsible for damaging the property, you'll be responsible for the bill, but that's to be expected...
Everything was splendid as always. This is my favorite spot to stay in Summit.
Mekayla's place was everything we wanted and more! My boyfriend and I visited Breckenridge for the first time to get some spring skiing in and stayed here. The condo felt just like home was clean, cozy and just a close drive a way to downtown Breck or Frisco. Ann, Mekayla's mom, was very quick to respond to all of my messages and even helped us extend our stay at the very last minute. It's safe to say we miss waking up to the amazing views of the mountains, we'll be back next year!
Not only is this place affordable, but it is also quite comfortable too. We have plenty of space in the condo to hang out, which it was great for our close knit group. Communication before and during was a breeze, and our stay was great. The apartment isn't over the top fancy, but for a ski vacation with some good friends it was a great place to relax after the slopes.
Basic but functional and clean space. Mekalya was easy to work with and made the logistics easy. Place is a bit removed from Breck but free Summit Stage bus makes it somewhat easy to get to and from the resort. Would stay here agin.
The apartment look even better than the pictures! It has huge windows overlooking the mountains and the beds are plush and have new bedding. The check in and out process was very straightforward. I loved the condo, and recommend the experience to anyone traveling to Breck.
Everything went very smoothly. Pretty central location to all mountains. Awesome place to stay in summit.
About the Host, Mekayla
I'm originally from CO and though I've lived many other places, still think of that as home. I love anything outdoors, though hiking and camping are at the top of the list.
I'm an independent consultant in innovation and human centered design. Depending on the month, you may find me working on transforming healthcare, education or transportation.
The condo we rent out is co-owned with my parents so sometimes you'll get an email from my mom (Ann) instead of me.
When I travel, sometimes it's alone and sometimes it's with my husband Greg (in the photo with me)
