We'd love to have you stay at our peaceful home, Meadowhawk Homestead. We strive to live a sustainable and environmentally friendly lifestyle. Enjoy our country setting while still being close to all that Burlington and Middlebury have to offer.
Your stay includes breakfast offerings of homemade toast, eggs from our chickens, our log grown Shiitake mushrooms, our chevre, oatmeal, homemade granola, our goat milk and goat yogurt. Lunch and dinner are available for an additional cost.
While you're here, enjoy spending time in the straw bale yoga studio. Take a walk on our trails or in our seven circuit labyrinth. Tour the 29 acre property and meet the dairy goats and chickens, wander through the gardens, and learn about our honey bees, maple sugaring and Shiitake mushroom cultivation. During warm weather months, play a game of bocce or badminton. Afterwards cool off with a swim in the pond. Therapeutic massage, pottery lessons and private yoga sessions are also available for an additional cost.
There's plenty to do in the surrounding areas whether you enjoy restaurants, museums, or shopping. We're five minutes from Lake Champlain, and 30 minutes from Burlington to the north and Middlebury to the south.
If you enjoy hiking, Melanie can either be your guide, or give you information regarding hiking trails on Mt. Abe, Camel's Hump, and Mt. Mansfield. If you like to ski, it's one hour to Sugarbush, the Middlebury Snowbowl, Mad River Glenn and Stowe Mountain Resort ski areas.
We look forward to meeting you!

Warren and Melanie were great hosts! We loved our stayed during the weekend at their beautiful homestead and we look forward to going there again. The rooms, bathrooms, hall, living room, etc were clean and neat as per the description on the listing.
Warren was quick to reply to our emails and respond to our phone call when we wanted help with directions to their home. Melanie was kind enough to personally drive our car in their driveway when we the car tires were stuck in the snow.
Warren and Melanie were more than happy to show us around their homestead and let us observe them while they milked their goats. We got a great preview of their simple, self-reliant and happy life that not a lot of people are aware of these days. They also provided great recommendations for restaurants around the area. We absolutely loved played around with their dogs (Summer and Molly). They were more than willing to share a little about their life experiences and talk about their day-to-day activities over a warm breakfast which included eggs, honey, goat cheese from their farm.
This quiet and warm home was the perfect destination for a ski weekend in Vermont. Although it was our first experience with AirBnB, Warren and Melanie's hospitality and welcoming nature exceeded all of our expectations. Starting with the greeting from their two friendly dogs, when we first arrived at their secluded home late at night, the kind hosts treated us with the utmost care. Not only is the home in a good location to enjoy some of Vermont's great outdoor destinations, but the hosts also provide their guest with an experience of simple, self-sufficient life that few are familiar with. It was a pleasure to learn how they've created a life balanced with nature in their quiet little homestead as they shared the fruits of their hard work over a delicious, home-grown breakfast of goat cheese, eggs, yogurt and honey from their property.
As far as the accommodations, the rooms were clean, neat, and spacious spacious enough for our abundance of winter gear. Also, the shower was piping hot, which is exactly what you want after after a full day in negative temperatures. While I was concerned about the pups waking us up early in the morning, they were exceptionally behaved and didn't bark a peep. Warren made sure to keep the furnace socked with firewood, to keep the upstairs sleeping areas nice and warm.
We would love to come back for a stay in the summer to see more of the property in full bounty. Thank you again for sharing your wonderful home.
I had an absolutely lovely time with Melanie and Warren. They were so welcome and accommodating, and their homestead is wonderful! I really hope to come back one day in the summer and see all the action going on in the garden :)
Melanie and Warren are wonderful, warm hosts. They provided everything we needed and the room is comfortable.
Breakfasts are filling , healthy and delicious. Can't think of many places were guests would have fresh goats milk and eggs.
Warren graciously gave me a little tour of the farm as he performed his late afternoon duties feeding the chickens and goats.
What a relaxing place to visit! Warren and Melanie were great hosts. Warm and happy to have me there. Thanks for making me feel right at home.
