We'd love to have you stay at our peaceful home, Meadowhawk Homestead. We strive to live a sustainable and environmentally friendly lifestyle.
While you're here, enjoy spending time in the straw bale yoga studio. Take a walk on our trails or in our seven circuit labyrinth. Tour the 29 acre property and meet the dairy goats and chickens, wander through the gardens, and learn about our honey bees, maple sugaring and Shiitake mushroom cultivation. During warm weather months, play a game of bocce or badminton. Afterwards cool off with a swim in the pond. Therapeutic massage, pottery lessons and private yoga sessions are also available for an additional cost.
There's plenty to do in the surrounding areas whether you enjoy restaurants, museums, or shopping. We're five minutes from Lake Champlain, and 30 minutes from Burlington to the north and Middlebury to the south.
If you enjoy hiking, Melanie can either be your guide, or give you information regarding hiking trails on Mt. Abe, Camel's Hump, and Mt. Mansfield. If you like to ski, it's one hour to Sugarbush, the Middlebury Snowbowl, Mad River Glenn and Stowe Mountain Resort ski areas.
Your stay includes breakfast offerings of homemade toast and eggs from our chickens or oatmeal with all the fixings. Lunch and dinner are available for an additional cost.
We look forward to meeting you!
Perfect. It's no coincidence all the reviews are so positive. If you are not sure whether this is the right place, I can assure you, it is. Enjoy.

Warren and Melanie were amazing hosts! They were very welcoming, had great recommendations for things to do in the area and have a beautiful home and property. Seeing their goats and chickens was also an amazing experience.
If you're going anywhere near Burlington this is the best place to stay at.
This was me and my wife's first airbnb experience and it was great. Warren and Melanie were wonderful and gracious hosts who made our stay a fantastic one. From touring the beautiful property to learning tons about living a sustainable lifestyle to taking a hike guided by one of the cute dogs, this was everything we were looking for!
We took some time to visit nearby Burlington, and Warren and Melanie recommend some great things to check out.
We will definitely be back!
Warren and Melanie were great host.
They make us feel comfortable.
The place is casual and we learn a lot about how they live.
We were happy to meet them!
Really authentic folk, very welcoming and warm. Wish I'd had more time with them, as I felt very drawn to their lifestyle and am encouraged by the possibility of a more sustainable, conscious, healthy and self-reliant way of living. Here is 'the real deal' with much to like, from the goat yogurt to the labyrinth! And you can't ignore the two most amusing dogs.
This was our first Airbnb experience and was just for an overnight.
Warren and Melanie were great host and very accommodating to our
needs. It was great having fresh eggs and home baked bread for breakfast and we left with two wonderful mugs which we purchased from Warren. They have a warm clean home.
Friendly, kind hosts make you feel "at home".
Two well-behaved dogs and one cat
A delicious breakfast of eggs and homemade spelt toast topped with honey - all from the homestead. Comfortable, quiet, no frills bedroom. Overall, a pleasant stay. Thank you.
Warren and Melanie were gracious and accommodating hosts, and their homestead is really impressive. The goats are sweet and curious, and it's a treat to sample the goat yogurt and milk from them. We loved learning about shitake mushroom cultivation and looking at Warren's beautiful pottery. The bedroom was comfortable and clean. The shower in the upstairs bathroom is a bit uncomfortable for tall people because it is under a sloping wall, but we learned that there is an additional shower downstairs. So if you are tall, make sure you check out the downstairs bathroom.
We loved staying at Warren and Melanie's place. They are friendly hosts, and their home is comfortable, clean and peaceful. I totally enjoyed the dogs and goats - they even showed me how to milk the goats. Warren's breakfast omelet with goat cheese and granola with goat yogurt is superb. Staying with Warren and Melanie is a great opportunity to experience a sustainable lifestyle. The yoga yurt is beautiful and quite special. I highly recommend this very unique airbnb.
My children and I had such a wonderful time staying at Meadowhawk with Warren and Melanie. They are great hosts and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Everything was more than we could have hoped for. Loved all the organic homemade food, cozy house, engaging conversations, beautiful setting, great dogs, morning hikes around the farm with the goats and genuine openheartedness. Hope to return on our next visit.
