We'd love to have you stay at our peaceful home, Meadowhawk Homestead. We strive to live a sustainable and environmentally friendly lifestyle.
While you're here, enjoy spending time in the straw bale yoga studio. Take a walk on our trails or in our seven circuit labyrinth. Tour the 29 acre property and meet the dairy goats and chickens, wander through the gardens, and learn about our honey bees, maple sugaring and Shiitake mushroom cultivation. During warm weather months, play a game of bocce or badminton. Afterwards cool off with a swim in the pond. Therapeutic massage, pottery lessons and private yoga sessions are also available for an additional cost.
There's plenty to do in the surrounding areas whether you enjoy restaurants, museums, or shopping. We're five minutes from Lake Champlain, and 30 minutes from Burlington to the north and Middlebury to the south.
If you enjoy hiking, Melanie can either be your guide, or give you information regarding hiking trails on Mt. Abe, Camel's Hump, and Mt. Mansfield. If you like to ski, it's one hour to Sugarbush, the Middlebury Snowbowl, Mad River Glenn and Stowe Mountain Resort ski areas.
Your stay includes breakfast offerings of homemade toast and eggs from our chickens or oatmeal with all the fixings. Lunch and dinner are available for an additional cost.
We look forward to meeting you!
Warren and Melanie are extremely nice, interesting people! I felt so welcomed in their home. I was fortunate enough to share a delicious home-cooked dinner with them and their friends who all had fascinating stories to tell. Their homestead is beautiful and their dogs are so cute and friendly! I wanted to hike Camels Hump (which is a great hike, if you are into that sort of thing), so Melanie wrote down some instructions for me and let me use her map. Their breakfasts were also delicious and included many ingredients from their own farm or from friends they had traded with. Overall, this was a wonderful, relaxing, welcoming place to stay.
Perfect. It's no coincidence all the reviews are so positive. If you are not sure whether this is the right place, I can assure you, it is. Enjoy.
Explore their 'back garden' - who knows what you might find!
Thank you for inviting us into your lives, and say hi to Summer and Molly from us.

Warren and Melanie were amazing hosts! They were very welcoming, had great recommendations for things to do in the area and have a beautiful home and property. Seeing their goats and chickens was also an amazing experience.
If you're going anywhere near Burlington this is the best place to stay at.
We loved our stay with Melanie and Warren. They were very welcoming and their home was very comfortable. They were friendly and also gave us space at their dining table at night to play games on Thanksgiving night after we had lunch with extended relatives elsewhere. We especially liked the fresh baked bread and other organic foods (yogurt, eggs, berries, honey) served for breakfast. We enjoyed our yoga lesson from Melanie and were impressed with their farm and other sustainability efforts. We liked Warren's pottery too. We would definitely stay there again.
Four of us met in Burlington at Warren and Melanie's place. They worked with us on check-in times, since we were driving a long distance from many directions, and were not quite sure as to when we would arrive. Once we did get there, they were nothing but welcoming! Breakfast was AMAZING and we just couldn't stop chatting. I wish we had time to take advantage of the yoga studio, but our time there was too short! I hope we can make it back again soon!
What a sweet place. We were there so briefly--arrived early evening after a very long day and just crashed, but it was simple and comfortable and tranquil. Warren and Melanie were great hosts and the two dogs were ridiculously sweet. Wish we'd had a little longer to stay and relax (the yoga studio is SO cool!)
We were greeted with welcoming smiling faces! They have a beautiful and private location. Wonderful spring water to drink and Melanie and Warren made a wonderful breakfast with oatmeal, freshly made yogurt, blueberries, homemade granola, and honey and maple syrup! They are wonderful hosts who shared information about the area and their property. We would definitely stay there again! They are very energetic and have fun stories to share. Warren creates beautiful pottery, too! They're two dogs are very friendly also!
We had a lovely retreat at the "Meadowhawk." Melanie and Warren were very sweet hosts, thank you so much for sharing your home with us! We really enjoyed chatting and getting to know the two of them and the house was very warm and welcoming. It was so interesting to learn a bit about all the various aspects of your homesteading from beekeeping to chickens and goats. And of course I have to mention how beautiful the yoga studio was. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
After a long day of travel it was wonderful to be welcomed to Vermont by Warren and Melanie. We instantly felt welcome and loved the entire time we spent with them. Warren gave us a complete tour of the grounds and the two of them were eager to explain all of their current projects - including getting ready for next years Morel mushroom season as well as sugar maple season.
If you're looking for a unique, kind, and comforting stay in Vermont, make sure you spend at least a night with Warren and Melanie.
Warren and Melanie are living in amazing place, quite, organic, with a lot of nature in it. The dogs are wonderful and hospitality was great, even when our son cried at night they were very patient to us and gave us the complete freedon and "feeling at home", Most Recommanded!
