The description of this place was accurate, however, what you don't see is the friendliness, hardworking and generosity of the host's. The Homestead is full of life and sacredness. I trully enjoyed this experience and Warren and Melanie are a great couple and make all they do seem effortless.(but we know better)
My wife and I traveled to the Burlington area for a family reunion, and found this place to be a wonderful place to stay in the woods near Monkton, quiet and serene. It's a small-farm homestead with goats, chickens, ducks, two very friendly dogs and a reserved cat who occasionally comes out of hiding to enjoy some petting. "This is much better than a motel!" Carole said. It took the edge off the stress of traveling. I didn't think it would be a bed-and-breakfast, but we were treated to breakfast with homemade bread and homemade cheese!
We had such a peaceful time at the Meadowhawk Homestead. Warren and Melanie were such gracious hosts and we were so glad for such a scenic spot to spend a night in Vermont. Breakfast was delicious and they offered the perfect amount of private space and conversation. Thanks!
Lovely! Lovely! Lovely! We've never slept better! Warren and Melanie are amazing hosts, and their farm is truly magical. They are very communicative, helpful, and understanding. The room is clean and comfortable, and breakfasts are delicious. Tour the farm. Check out the yoga studio and Warren's pottery. There is something for everyone here. This little farm in Monkton is an amazing place cared for by two remarkable people.
We loved our experience staying at their place. They are great hosts who were very friendly and available. Very fast response. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Plus, they made great breakfast, all from food they grew themselves. A beautiful stay!
Warren and Melanie were very friendly and welcoming. We immediately felt comfortable in the room and house. The property was lovely and rural. They were happy to share with us all the homesteading activities they are doing and answered a lot of my questions. We hung out with their dogs and said hello to the goats. I wish we had stayed longer and had time for a hike on their mountain. Breakfast was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there!
Melanie and Warren were great. The room was cozy, breakfast was wonderful and we loved wandering around the farm!
