Bring your family, friends, and even dogs to our beautiful family home in the serene Rockrimmon neighborhood of Colorado Springs, located just a few miles away from the US Air Force Academy and mere blocks away from the 338 acre Ute Valley Park, favorite of many locals, as well as the beautiful Blodgett Open Space! Extensive trail systems for walking, running, and biking surround this neighborhood and are greatly enjoyed by all.

The space
This home sits in a beautiful neighborhood at the edge of prized wilderness spaces, with everything you need for rest and relaxation during your travels!

Upon arrival you'll be greeted by:

* a well cared for front yard garden space
* ample parking: 1 garage space, driveway, and street
* an entry room where we ask that you take off your shoes

The main floor:

* enter the main floor to see the living room to the left with smart TV, games, and plenty of DVD's.
* to the right is the kitchen stocked with essential appliances: coffee machine, oven, dishwasher, and microwave.
* the kitchen is also stocked with high quality coffee, teas, spices, and honey.
* through the kitchen you'll enter the dining room with work desk and access to the backyard.

Backyard:

* the back yard has some patio seating, dog carriers, and terraced pathways. * it's medium sized, fenced off, and perfect for dogs to play - just make sure you pick up all dog poop (we do provide doggy bags near the back door).

Lower level:

* a short stairwell leading down from the living room bring you to the lower level hallway; queen bedrooms are located at each end of this hallway each with a wall mounted smart TV.
* between the two bedrooms you will find the Laundry Room closet - stocked with detergent pods, ironing board, and steam iron.
* across from the laundry room closet is the full bathroom that includes a shower/ bath tub stocked with shampoo and conditioner.

Upper level:

* a short stairwell off the living room leads you to the upper level where you will look straight onto our full bathroom that can be accessed from the hallway or from the master bedroom.
* to the right is the master bedroom with a queen bed, smart TV, dresser, and large closet.
* to the left is our twin bedroom/ media room with wall mounted smart TV, closet, desk, and a twin daybed that has a second twin mattress in a trundle compartment that pulls out from below.


Our home is professionally cleaned by some of the best vacation rental cleaners that we know and we have all of our linens and towels professionally laundered at Laundry Time Circle, the best laundromat around.

This Airbnb is located in a quiet residential neighborhood surrounded by biking and running trails as well as several parks that include playgrounds and dog parks.

This residential area is located on a hillside that affords guests beautiful views of the foothills and mountains to its West. It's not uncommon to witness flaming sunsets or stunning meteor showers from our location, all from the privacy of the living room or entry/observation deck.

The reason that the Northwest section of town feels so peaceful is due to its many open spaces and well-groomed parks. Forget you are in the city and experience the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere as you hike through Blodgett Peak Open Space, Ute Valley, or a multitude of trails among the scrub oak and bristle pines that are characteristic of the Northwest part of Colorado Springs.

As you drive through Northwest Colorado Springs, take in the gorgeous views looking down on the city proper. Notice the lack of the city noise.

Northwest Colorado Springs is captivating to drive through. The rolling foothills and impressive land formations relax the soul, which is why this part of town is known for being calm and quiet. Wildlife roams this area of the foothills, along with stunning vegetation and impressive trail systems. Ute Valley Park is located here and it attracts people daily from all over the city.

This area starts just north of the Garden of The Gods park and extends to the southern boundary of the United States Air Force Academy.

The entire area has a tranquil and relaxed feeling. Few businesses draw extra attention, which keeps it a private and quiet community.

If you like little traffic with hushed and peaceful streets, then this part of town is definitely for you. Nowhere else in Colorado Springs are the streets as quiet as they are here.

The Rockrimmon neighborhood is near the gateway to an enormous natural playground. Hike, run, bicycle or drive to and through Red Rock Canyon and Garden of the Gods, or up or down Pike's Peak! Discover the Barr, Intemann and Ute Pass trail systems in Manitou Springs. Cruise to downtown Colorado Springs and head up and down America the Beautiful Park along Fountain Creek. Explore the extensive trail systems and highways in Cheyenne Canyon and at Seven Falls. Walk the Broadmoor campus and take in the sights. There's so much to do and see on the westside of Colorado Springs all the way to Manitou Springs, Cascade, Woodland Park, and beyond into Teller County.

The Aspen Glen Family Sanctuary is situated just a 15 minute drive from downtown OCC Old Colorado City (OCC) is a walking friendly, "mountain urban" locale. with its Western charm, fabulous art galleries, restaurants, tea houses, pubs, specialty shops and attractions.
