Nika's place is an island of quiet and elegance in the heart of St. Petersburg. Check-in and communication were a breeze, and the staircase in the apartment building reminded my of my students days here. Proximity to Nevsky Prospekt and subways, shopping, etc., is great. I would gladly stay here agin.

Stayed at Nika's place with four friends - we are all recent college grads and wanted to see St. Pete. The apartment is in a great neighborhood and is located very close to Nevsky ave, as well as a number of restaurants and bars. It was well-furnished and clean, with a fully stocked kitchen. It's also in a historic building, so we really enjoyed having the chance to stay in a place with so much history.

I stayed at Nika's place for 4 days in October. I have mixed feelings about the experience. The location is great and as described. Nika responds quickly. The arrival went smoothly, Nika's mother, Angelica, was at the place waiting for me to arrive. The decoration is minimalistic and goes well with the place's atmosphere. The bed is comfortable; the apartment has nice remodeled floors and windows. The wifi was reliable, at about 10 Mg. However, the pictures in the description do not reflect accurately the interior, since less attractive parts of the apartment are not included in the description or in the posted photos. There are hanging wires, peeling paint, bathroom ceiling with wet stains, cracks and holes in the entry-way and around the bathroom door. The bathroom door itself is cracked. These things either need to be fixed or there should be photos showing the condition of all the interior and not only its attractive parts. When I went to take a shower on the second day of my stay, I closed the bathroom door (the apartment is on the cooler side), which got stuck. It was unpleasant to be stuck in the bathroom and not be able to get out. Finally, I managed to get the door open a little and squeezed through the narrow opening. More disturbing was how the host dealt with the situation. When I got out, I immediately messaged Nika and called her mother, who didn't express concern about my well-being but rather implied I misused the door (something that was repeated in the messages I received from Nika). When talking to Nika's mother on the phone, I accidentally overheard her use crude language and lies about the situation while she was talking to someone else - she didn't realize I could still hear her. I hadn't been warned about not using the door/s and it wasn't mentioned in the house rules. During the rest of the stay I had to squeeze in and out of the bathroom. I was told to accept the state of disrepair because it is "a historical flat." The kitchen has all the necessities, there's no elevator but the stairwell to this 4th floor apartment was clean and well-illuminated.

Me and my mom had an excellent stay at Nika's apartment! Nika's mom, Angelika, met us at a convenient time, gave us a tour of the apartment and even gave us some helpful recommendations on where to get the freshest donuts in the neighborhood! Also, she explained to us how to make short cuts to Nevsky through the yards, so we felt more like locals. First off, the location of the apartment couldn't have been better. While it's just a couple on blocks from Nevsky, it's on a little quiet street and is overlooking the yard. It was very quiet and felt private. The apartment is in a beautiful old building, with very tall ceilings and large windows. It has a nice mix of original details and modern renovations. It has all of the essentials (towels, shower gel, shampoo, etc). Stores, bars, bakeries and cafes are all within walking distance. Super convenient for walking everywhere and also several subway stops nearby. I highly recommend staying at Nika's apartment and would definitely come back next time! Thanks Nika and Angelika.

Great location. It is about a block away from the main Nevsky street. It is a block away from the metro station. It is a very lively place and neighborhood. The apartment was spacious and very cozy. It was great to be able to walk to everything. Nika's mom was very nice and welcoming. She explained all. Great array of bath products as well. I would definitely recommend.
