  • What a lovely stay! Just a quick two minutes from downtown. Beautiful studio, tastefully decorated over looking a vineyard. Dishes and dominos and anything you may need. Very thoughtful hosts!

They even had an acoustic guitar there. It was missing a few strings or we would've been able to use it. Must remember to bring those on our next stay. I would definitely go back. Thank you for a great weekend!!!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Rachel and Tim's! Great location, cute, clean, and quiet apartment. Would highly recommend!

  • Much like the city of Guerneville, Rachel and Tim's cottage was quaint, a short driving distance away from the town center and nearby many great wineries. Waking up to a view of a small vineyard was a great setting and communication with them was excellent. We loved having the ability to make breakfast in the morning, as the kitchen was well stocked with common items. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a getaway outside the city.

  • Great spot, great location.

  • I love this cottage so much that I almost didn't rate it, for fear that I'd never get a booking again :) Rachel and Tim have decorated it beautifully and stocked it so well that there's nothing you'll lack during your stay, whether it's good coffee, shampoo or towels to bring to the river. The deck is a great space to spend a summer evening, and the view over the vineyard is gorgeous.

The only things I think prospective guests should be aware of are that (a) it's *super* tiny, and (b) the bed is correspondingly pretty small. Cozy is a good descriptor :)

  • The cottage was just beautiful! What a wonderful place to lay back... Lovely renovated, overlooking the wineyard and this great veranda :)) Rachel and Tim were so easy to communicate with, great experience and clear 5 star recommendation!

  • Though I was not able to make the trip to the cottage due to a last minute emergency, Rachel was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with during the booking process. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.I look forward to another opportunity to plan a trip out and stay!

    March 2014
  • Rachel & Tim's cottage was very cozy and relaxing even with the gloomy weather we had over the weekend we stayed. The location was secluded yet close to many activities (Armstrong State Reserve, wineries, etc.) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    February 2014
  • Rachel and Tim's cottage was indeed cozy and ideal for a wine country getaway. The books in the room offered great suggestions on where to eat and what to see, and Rachel and Tim were very responsive when we had questions. The French press and coffee, which they roast themselves, were especially nice touches.

    February 2014
  • This cottage was absolutely everything we wanted--just as advertised and better! We cooked our entire Thanksgiving dinner in Rachel and Tim's well stocked kitchen. The vineyard view is beautiful, the walk to the river is idyllic, and the air smells like heaven. We spent a couple of candlelight meals on the porch after using the grill. Having the Roku really was a plus. And added bonus for us, the awesomely cuddly neighbor cat who greeted us on arrival and kept us company when we wanted it.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Great value, flexible check in and check out, and communicative hosts.
    Thanks again!

Rachel: I am an avid traveler but always love coming home to SF. It is my goal to try every great SF restaurant and although that might be an undoable task, I will try! I am originally from Sonoma County so I will always have a soft spot for rolling vineyards and the Russian River. Five things I can't live without: my favorite people, good design of all kinds, Philz coffee, dancing, and travelling adventures. Tim: I moved to San Francisco from Indiana six years ago and I've never looked back. I love life in the city and escaping to the relaxing cottage in Guerneville. I may look mild-mannered, but someday I'll have a tattoo and drive a motorcycle. Five things I can't live without: my beautiful wife, Philz coffee (I didn't copy), IU basketball, my brothers, and my imaginary airplane.
