The peacock cottage and Bill were both great. The grounds are very nice, secluded and beautiful. The stay was enjoyable and Bill timely address the one or two issues that popped up. I would strongly recommend anyone looking for fun and relaxation consider staying at the peacock Cottage or if a bigger group the waterfront house.
The Peacock Cottage was perfect for a couple to enjoy a relaxing time near the water. The cottage was as described and the kitchen was well supplied with all the things needed to cook a great meal. Bill was laid back and a great host!
PS - It's very neat to see the peacocks in full "bloom" right off the patio!
This was a fabulous get-away - gorgeous setting - loads of peace and quiet (including the peacock cries), a well-appointed and tastefully decorated little bungalow, and great hosts. We walked to the produce stand just up the road, sat out by the water, and our little dog was kept very busy watching the lizards, birds, and squirrels. Nice to have a washer/dryer to use. Good restaurants nearby and plenty of places to explore. We'll definitely stay here again when we're visiting family in Vero. Thanks Lisa and Bill!
Bill made us feel very welcome and the Peacock Cottage was just as we expected. I wish my kitchen was as organized and well-stocked.
We enjoyed watching the peacocks. Just know, that if you are a light sleeper, those peacocks wake up early!
William was a great host. He responded to questions very fast. His place is like a slice of heaven. You drive up to this tropical paradise and here is the little cottage. The view from the living room was outstanding. The place is a nice size for 2 people and it's nicely decorated and the kitchen has plenty of utensils for cooking. The only noises we heard at night were the peacocks and a train going by. If you are a light sleeper then this may bother you. Would definitely stay there again.
This is a lovely cottage with a great kitchen, living room and bedroom. It has a water view. The three peacocks were gorgeous. If you are fearful of little critters like geckos, water bugs or slugs then this is not the place for you. We saw just a few in our 5 day stay. This was very close to Vero Beach.
This was a delightful, comfortable and beautiful place to stay in April. The designer living room, fully stocked kitchen, and extensive outdoor patio options (including a hammock), made our week-long stay perfect in every way. We slept well in the extremely comfortable king sized bed, awakening to the sound of the peacocks... three beautiful fully-plumed males. This cottage is perfect for a couple, but would be too small for a third. One of the best things about Peacock Cottage is the location... Old Florida at it's best. The well-kept trees and plants make one feel as if you are traveling back in time... I found it to feel much like Hawaii. I look forward to returning with my family (renting from Bill again and taking on one of the other houses on the property). Even with the other two houses, this is a very private location that totally works whether renting one or more houses. The house and grounds are perfectly clean and inviting, with Bill providing all the insider advice and extras that make the trip even more wonderful - Bill loaned us binoculars, enhancing our trip to Pelican Island, a National Wildlife Refuge.
Sebastian Inlet is a haven for nature lovers, bird watchers and those who enjoy the beaches and water sports. We went to the Treasure Museum, and the Manatee rescue center. My favorite activities were walking along Indian River Drive - a wonderful jogging/walking path along the inlet for miles, and drinking 100% grapefruit smoothies at Hales (2 miles to the South). The seafood in the area is great too, as is the fishing.
Overall, I would return here again and again.
