Each year I rent my studio out to an assortment of visitors: festival goers, tourists, artists, Austin transplants and graduate students. The space is a unique studio--think cabin meets loft--and is located in the heart of downtown Austin's historic neighborhood, Clarksville. Plenty of privacy, lots of natural light, and ideal for an artistic minded person(s).
Available: weekend, weekdays and weeklong.

We had a wonderful stay at Aimee's place in Austin. The rental was just as described with outlined directions, house rules, and suggestions on getting around and places to visit. The place was cozy, private and in a quiet neighborhood. We really appreciated the convenience and proximity to Whole Foods, where we stopped often for snacks. We took used Uber during our stay and were really pleased. Thanks for the suggestion! I will recommend this rental to friends visiting! Perfect place for us.
Love Aimee’s studio, very comfortable and in a great location. My boyfriend and I stayed for a long weekend and thought it was great. We sat outside on the little patio and hung out in the hammock chair, and enjoyed the cacti! Aimee left clear instructions for where we could find everything, and she was easy to get in touch with if we needed anything. The bed is very comfortable and the studio itself is spacious and wonderful. Street parking nearby was easy to find, and it’s a quick walk to 6th street.
This colorful place has a lot of character, and is also very easy to use, which made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Also, given its convenient location, we had a great stay and were able to go to a lot of great neighbourhoods in a couple of minutes. Amy communicated really well and on a timely basis, and provided us with all the necessary info we needed. I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you are in town for a quick weekend get away ! The ladder to reach the bed on the attic was not a problem for us, and made the experience even more memorable (just need to be careful when you come back home on a late night !).
My boyfriend and I stayed here for the week of New Year's Eve and we absolutely loved it! We totally fell in love with this awesome studio apartment. It has so much character and really added to our experience in Austin. Aimee was out of town so we didn't get to meet her in person, unfortunately, but she was still a great host and was always very clear with instructions and quick to respond to our messages. We would highly recommend this place!!
This place was the perfect stay for myself and two other girlfriends during ACL! We loved it, the place has a lot of character. Everything was in walking distance, including Zilker Park. It's definitely not a place for everyone (especially if you're used to a Hilton or some fancy house) but if you just need a place to sleep and get ready for your fun day in Austin, this is the spot! Aimee was great to work with and kept in good contact with me even though she was out of town. I had a great experience overall!
This space was just what we were looking for! There were 3 of us and it worked out perfectly. The bathroom was not an issue for us and the loft was super fun! If you are sleeping 3, just be aware the neat retro couch may look cool but it is probably the most uncomfortable bed/couch in the world. There is a bar running through the center so sleeping on the floor was the route we took with the pad that our host provided.
It is not as close as we had hoped to get to the trendy parts of town: E 6th, South Congress, etc but it is located in a really cute & quiet neighborhood. We used Lyft (if you don't know about it, learn about it!) to get around for about $10 bucks per ride. The flagship Whole Foods is a 10 minute walk down the road and I highly suggest you go as there is a full bar and you can drink whilst shopping.
I was unaware that this was Aimee's full-time home and was surprised to find her closet full of clothes, fridge full of food and family photos on the walls. Mind you, I am new to AirBNB and maybe this common but we expected more of a guest home! After I realized this fact, it just felt like we were house sitting for her. All in all, this was an amazing space and would recommend it to anyone looking for an eclectic and unique space to stay!
I'm a professional touring musician with a handful of private music students.
I love traveling, thus my involvement with AirBnB. I've traveled to: India, Europe, Mexico, Indonesia, Europe and more. Barton Springs and Deep Eddy are my favorite outdoor spots in Austin and are the best fresh water swimming holes in the nation, in my opinion.
I enjoy pointing people to great music venues in Austin to check out.
Currently, I'm obsessed with films from the 1920's and Cormac McCarthey books.
