Wow bushanah was great! She made it as easy as 1,2,3 for me and when I walked in her apt/house I couldn't believe how much space I had! Nice japanese style bath, spacious kitchen ,heater air conditioner .. You name it it's there!.. Short walk from a convenience store if you jus head right out the door make a right at the end of the walkway and them hang a left on the small street. I would definitely consider staying here again when I go back next year.
A very big, clean and spacious house, although it is a bit run down. Heaters in the rooms were faulty so we had to make do with the portable ones - they are not as effective but better than nothing. If you are travelling with a big group - this is a fantastic and good value place to stay. Easy walk from the nearest subway station.
Bushanah is very help and prompt in her replies. She is very nice to let us check out at 7pm because our flight is at night. We met the house keeper and she was very helpful, even made sure the wifi was working before she left. Thank you for the stay!
We were 5 friends, this place is maybe the only one on airbnb where we can have 2 stairs flat. Location is ideal, i recommend you to use Nogizaka station (exit 5) to use subway from the flat. We did not meet Bushana but she was very responsive by e-mail. The flat itself is not recent but it looks like typical japanese flat. There is some road noise and lights from outside but you can still sleep (and i noticed it because i currently live in a pedestrian street).
I recommend this place for group of friends. We only used the kitchen for breaksfast, good air-con ( just one day with little trouble due to very high temperature). And near the flat you have Ramishan Cafe (or something like it) that belongs too some professional baseball player that we met at Lawsons (supermarket). Tokyo is an amazing place!!!!! Go there!!!!!
The appartment is in a good neighborhood, near Roppongi and Shibuya. Furthermore you have a good restaurants and bars 10 minutes by walk from the appartment.
This is a wonderful house right in the heart of a really cool area in tokyo. Nishi-Azabu is filled with trendy restaurants and bars but is quiet from the craziness of its neighbouring areas. From the house you are a very short walk or bus ride to everywhere you need to go. For people with family the house now has a stair gate (removable if not needed) to keep your little ones safe and is not far from hiroo where there is a great international supermarket and park That is great for all ages! For the party animals you are within walking distance to Roppongi or a quick bus ride to shibuya. Omotesando is just a quick walk behind the house which is next to the very famous harajuku!
I absolutely love this house as it is spacious with toilet upstairs and downstairs. There's a great balcony for hanging clothes to dry in the sun or to just sit out on as this is one of the sunniest houses you could ask for with great windows to let the light in. We arrived just after they completed the building behind the house so now its nice and quiet with no builders!
I didn't get to meet Bushanah but we had regular correspondence and I found her to be very helpful and accommodating. We had a lovely lady called Sheila looking after us and she was a godsend! We don't know what we would have done without her. We stayed in the house for 7 weeks and she was always there at the drop of a hat when we needed her or help with something!
I highly recommend oasis and I highly recommend this house and I hope you get the lovely Sheila to look after you too!
Thanks for everything!
Totally enjoyed our stay. The house is cozy but clean and is exactly as described and pictured in the listing. There was a construction behind the house so it deterred any sleeping in but when you're on holidays, you want to be up and out at a decent time so the construction guys provided a good wake up call service!
Location wise, the house was about 10 minutes walk each way from Gaien-mae and Nogizaka subway station. Totally recommend making Gaien-mae your main subway stop as you can easily get to most of the touristy destination via the Tokyo Ginza line.
W met Bushanah's sister when we arrived who was very helpful and showed us around the house and answered our questions. Bushanah was also very helpful with following up on a question we had re: the nearest laundromat/dryer facility.
If we ever go back to Tokyo, we'd most definitely stay with Bushanah again or recommend any of our friends to stay here.
Maison très agréable et emplacement (website hidden)ès bon contact avec les hôtes qui nous ont bien guidés pour l'arrivée.
Le quartier est super et proche de tout, musées métro supermarché et restaurants fantastiques.
Great great apartment, with a great (email hidden)y 10-15 minutes walk to Roppongi Dori and Roppongi Metro Station. Highly reccomended host, I was always in contact with her although she wasnt present. Thank You Bushanah for your hospitality, I will be coming back soon :)
Very good location and close to 3 metro stations and many shops. Enough sapce for a familly very clean and well furnish.
Good experience in typical japonese house.
Very good support from Bushanah.
Only one weak point : it was too cold. But apparently, it is normal in Japan...especially with thin wall.
So if you go in winter, think to take many warn clothes.
We had an enjoyable stay at this house in Roppongi in January 2013.
The house was a great size for our family of 5 and the location was convenient to a number of Metro stops, although they do require about a 15 minute walk. There are lots of great restaurants and shops in the area.
The house was well equipped and the pocket Internet was super convenient. Water is hot and the heat worked great in the bedrooms. Like lots of traditional Japanese houses there is no heat in the bathroom or kitchen other than tiny space heaters in the kitchen.
Only downside is that while the house itself is situated on a quiet alley way, the house is close to a busy road so there was a lot of traffic noise, particularly if you are sleeping in the front bedroom. The positive is that same bedroom has two large windows with south and east exposure so it gets plenty of light.
There is 3 or 4 story building under construction right behind the house about 10 feet away. Construction workers arrive at 7:30AM but they don't start hammering and the crane doesn't begin groaning until 9:00AM. They stop around 5PM. It is very noisy. On the other hand, the construction will be done some day so this is only a temporary factor.
We would stay again on a return visit to Tokyo.
