  • As advertised, Alicia does have a lovely bedroom and a PRIVATE bath! Both were very clean and attractive. Our stay was comfortable and easy. We found communication with Alicia easy as well. The neighborhood and location were ideal; perfectly met our needs. Thanks, Alicia.

  • Alicia was a wonderful host to my father. Her place was very conveniently located and super clean. She was caring, considerate, and very helpful. I would highly recommend staying in her apartment.

  • Alicia's room is absolutely amazing. We stayed almost a week there and we enjoyed the New Years Eve. The room and the bed are so comfortable! Nice and clean bathroom, with clean towels. Absolutely no noise in the room. and the heater is great. Incredibly convenient location. Less than a block to Metro Station. You have to try a brunch at the Le Padoque. (The beer is also great). Definitely Alicia's room is my first option of stay in NYC/ Brooklin.

  • Had an amazing stay in NY. Room was as pictured: clean, spacious, with a comfy bed and a private bathroom. Good transport connection to Mannhattan (subway station within easy walking distance). Quiet and safe neighborhood with a small grocery store across the street and a great restaurant. We briefly met Alicia: she was really nice and checked if we were fine during our stay. We can highly recommend Alicia's place!
Thanks again for the five pleasant days in NY,

  • Alicia is a lovely person and delightful host. So nice to meet her! The bedroom and adjoining bathroom are spacious, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable-- a good place to stay for people who like to be surrounded by books!

  • The room was as pictured, clean with space for luggage. Having a private bathroom is very nice. We felt comfortable walking to our appointments nearby during the day and at night. At least over the holiday weekend in November when we stayed, there was very little street noise to be heard outside the window. The space heater was effective in quickly warming up the room in the evening and in the morning. However, the bed was firm and the pillow was thin, which is not my preference, so I didn't sleep as well as I have in other airbnb's.

Tips: The shower door must be closed when you turn the shower on, so to avoid standing in cold water at first, the best technique is to squeeze into the far left corner. If you plan to do a lot of work, note that you won't be able to charge electronics right next to the desk (or bed) as the plugs available for charging are on the other side of the room. There is access to several hooks but not a closet, in case you are traveling with lots of business clothes.

  • This is the second time I've stayed there and will definitely stay again in the future.
