Charming wood and stone thatched cottage nestled on the South slopes of Mont Mézenc, near Gerbier de Jonc (where the source of the Loire river is located), in the Borée district of Ardèche, 8 mins from the ski resort of Les Estables.

The space
What could be more unique and quaint than staying in an authentic thatched cottage in Ardèche with exceptional views at an altitude of 1350m!
The hamlet of La Borne welcomes you warmly and looks forward to sharing with you everything that the Natural Regional Park of the Ardèche Peaks (Parc Naturel Régional des Monts d’Ardèche), which recently received the UNESCO label “Geopark”, has to offer.
We are located 8 mins from the ski resort of Les Estables, itself in the region of the Haute-Loire.

Our 25m2 thatched cottage is ideal for 2 guests:
Wood burner (wood is provided free of charge)
Furnished kitchen (incl. oven, gas hob, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, crockery and utensils…)
Table and 4 chairs
Bathroom/toilet
Upstairs bedroom with double bed + single bed.

Please note that the stairs to the bedroom are steep.

The thatched cottage and garden are at your entire disposal.

Other things to note
Please be aware that there is mobile phone signal on most networks outside only, depending on the phone, as the walls of the cottage are very thick. Also note that the French network Free cannot be reached from our location.

During the snow season the access road can only travelled by foot. The access road is 150m long with a height difference of 10m.
Please bring a torch with you if arriving at night-time.
