Come as a guest leave as a friend!
Our stay in Pune at Jay's house was a great experience, the result of the family's warm hospitality. Stephanie was sick most of the time and Jay did everything in her power to help make her comfortable and get her back to feeling well again, even so far as taking her to her family doctor. The room was just as described with a nice sunny sitting area and private bath. The breakfast was always delightful and we enjoyed getting to know the other guests as we sat around the morning table. Jay even made arrangements for a computer teacher to come to the house to give me some much needed iPhone training. Thank you Jay for all the other things you went out of your way to do for us!!!
This is a great place to stay. The room is accurately described and all the facilities on offer were the same. I arrived very early in the morning (3.30am) and was greeted by Jays very friendly husband and shown my room. The next day I woke up very late and expected I had missed breakfast but no, the trusty maid had a place all set for me and I was served up a very nice breakfast. I had come to Pune to visit the Osho Ashram as I had been there before a few years previously. For me it had lost something so I decided to leave early and have a look at Goa. The refund policy is strict and I booked on that basis so did not expect a refund but Jay kindly paid for a ticket to Goa on the bus. This family is very friendly and accommodating and we had a few nice chats during the time I was there. I found out a lot about Pune and Jay was very helpful with all the other info about India I wanted to know. If you want a private but relaxed accommodation experience in Pune you can beat this. Thanks Jay
My mother and I had a great experience staying at Jay's place. Her apartment is absolutely gorgeous, and our guest room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed having a nice breakfast prepared for us each morning. The convenient yet quiet and peaceful location was also a big plus for us. It is very close to the restaurants of Koregaon Park (you could walk to Starbucks in about 10 minutes). There is also a reliable auto-rickshaw stand right across the street so it was very easy for us to go where we wanted to go each morning. We would definitely recommend Jay's place to other Pune visitors.
This is a very nice room with a great bathroom attached. I stayed here 3 weeks and had a very good time. And Jay is a generous host, always willing to help you out.
The only thing to be aware of is that the room is located close to a railroad. Although you hardly hear the trians drive by, you clearly hear the horns (which they use a lot). I got used to it though. All in all this is a great place to stay.
Thanks a lot Jay for the nice room and your hospitality.
This was a really lovely place to stay in with hosts that went much beyond their call of duty to make us feel at home and at ease in Pune, going from baking a cake for my birthday (a wonderful surprise) to helping us with putting on Indian clothes for a wedding. All in all, a wonderful place with wonderful people. Strongly recommended.
We were at Jay and Adoni's lovely home for over two weeks. The room was exactly as described , clean, quiet and comfortable. The hosts were very hospitable and helpful without being intrusive and were responsive to all our needs.
The lovely apartment is close to the Osho International Meditation Resort, just a few minutes’ walk away, and that made it very convenient for us. We were able to go back and forth to the Ashram several times a day with no need to hire a taxi or rickshaw and when we did want to use a Rickshaw it only cost R 20.
Thanks again Jay for a great India experience!
Jay and her husband are the most wonderful hosts, caring but not intrusive. Jay helped us with getting a sim card and finding your way round in Puna, was always keen to answer our questions. The room is just as nice as in the picture, it has got everything you need (towels, sheets, wireless etc) and it was always kept really clean (western clean not indian cleen :). The best bit about the stay was defenitely the breakfast though, most yummie porridge and eggs every morning! Thanks Jay!

Life is too short to explore all the things I am interested in! Arts, crafts, design, travel, walking, people, spirituality, reading, music you name it I have something to do with it. Jill of all trades, for me every day is a new world, a new experience, a new opportunity to connect.
I like people who are interested in others and the world around them, enquiring minds and friendly feelings.
If you like Tolstoy, Queen and Vermeer, Arundhati Roy, Bhimsen Joshi and Sudhir Patwardhan, Greece, Italy, and Turkey, fresh baked bread, chicken curry, and waffles we will get on just fine!
