Just down the hill from Highway 16, gets you to Tacoma, Seattle & Beyond....

Please note: Gig Harbor is across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge from Tacoma. Lots of great things to see and do in both Gig Harbor & Tacoma (I've got a long list of recommendations). It takes about 45 minutes to drive from Tacoma to Seattle, you can also take the ferry from the peninsula to Seattle. If the main focus of your trip is taking in the sights in Seattle, unless you LOVE driving, the Guest House is probably not ideal. The listing, for some unknown reason, lists the neighborhood as "Ruston" - Ruston is actually across the bridge from Gig Harbor. Neighborhood should read "Gig Harbor".

The bus route is along Harborview.
Very walkable as well.
We are obligated to collected 10.4% EXCISE TAX. For bookings thru airbnb.com, the TAX IS INCLUDED in the rental rates. We submit this money to the State of Washington and some of it is used to support tourist activities and services that make our part of the world a great place to visit!
CHECK-IN TIME is AFTER 3 P.M.
AND CHECKOUT is before 12 noon.
This is a NON SMOKING unit.
PETS are NOT PERMITTED in the Guest House under any conditions.
NO REFUNDS, NO DATE CHANGES once booked.
The front door is on a code lock which takes a 4 digit numerical code. When you book, please pick 4 numbers that will be easy for you to remember and they will be programmed in to open the door for your stay.
NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE – Linens are included. Daily maid service is not provided. Guests may use on site washer and dryer.
FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in.
PARKING – On-site Parking is limited to one (1) vehicle in the designated Guest House Parking Spot, which is on the driveway in front of the leftmost (from the street) garage door on Harborview. The Guest House parking spot is designated with yellow lettering on the concrete. Guests may drive up to the front door for loading and unloading but are asked to move their vehicles from the loading zone as soon as possible. Owners will not be held responsible for any damage to vehicles parked improperly on the property and may ask Guests to move any improperly parked vehicles. Any vehicles parked in zones not designated for parking are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. There is additional parking on Harborview Drive and surrounding city streets. Guests are asked to comply with city regulations when parking on city streets.
THE DOCK – Guests are not permitted on the dock.
OUTSIDE AREA – Please supervise young children if they are playing on the grass, It’s a long drop from the bulkhead down to the asphalt below. Do not disturb any equipment stored outside.
TELEPHONE – . The phone is set up for local and toll free calls only. Long distance and collect calls will not go through. Pre-paid calling cards can be purchased at Costco, Target and many other locations. Gig Harbor has 911 service, dial 9-1-1 for any emergencies.
TELEVISION – The “pay per view” function of the dish satellite service has been disabled.
CONSUMABLE ITEMS – Coffee, soap, paper products, etc… are provided for your use while you are a guest at the Guest House. Please enjoy them during your stay and leave unused portions for future guests.
CHECK-OUT – Please load and run the dishwasher before check-out. Leave beds that were slept in unmade. Please leave towels that were used on top of the washer and dryer in the laundry room. Please close all windows and make sure the sliding screen door and the front door are locked.
Homeowners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while guests are on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest.
By booking the property for rent thru airbnb.com, it is agreed that all Guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
