  • Usually pictures of places can exaggerate the place, but in this case it is the opposite. The pictures give you an idea, but you are positively impressed by seeing this beautiful house in person. A true luxury, and superbly decorated and fully furnished house with all the amenities possible and to top it off, with breathtaking lakeside views all around. Not to mention the two amazing hosts that take care of you better than any five star hotel! You must experience this house!

  • The stay with Nuno & Manu was our first AirBnB experience and could not have been better. As other guests quoted before "don't even think of not staying there!"
We arrived at the house after a long drive from Chile and were very pleased to be warmly welcomed and to relax in this beautiful house. Nuno is "made" for being a host. He baked bread for us and offered us something drink when we arrived... . He gives you all the information you need about the Bariloche region - and information beyond (Buenos Aires, Chile, Argentina in general) - thanks for the nice conservations. The house is very modern and clean and has two guestrooms that are rented during low season (each with its own bathroom and door to the terrace). Nuno and Manu (and the two dogs) live there as well. In summer you can rent the whole house. It situated outside of Bariloche which is nice because it is very quiet and not so touristic. A car is recommended but you can also go by cab or bike.
We had a lot of rain while we stayed there - so we will definitely come back with some friends (maybe rent the whole house in summer) because it is just the perfect place to stay and discover.

    Response from Nuno:

Thank you for you lovely review, Franziska!
I wait for your visit in the summer! The kayaks are waiting for you here in the lagoon!
    Have a nice Xmas!

  • Nuno & Manu couldn't have been nicer and more hospitable. The house is a work of art and the countryside is breathtaking. A truly amazing place to relax and take in Bariloche.

  • My husband and I absolutely loved staying here! Nuno is extremely attentive as a host, quick at answering questions and very good at recommendations for things to do. He also went above and beyond by giving us groceries and fresh baked bread our first night (we arrived too late to buy our own) and surprising us with a bottle of wine for Christmas. His partner Manu is also a wonderful host, offering us his bus card when we needed to run into town to print our bus passes.

As to the property itself, it is the perfect oasis for any vacation. Beautifully decorated, Eco-friendly and clean! We spent five days here and could have easily stayed longer. Its location away from town was a real plus, as we could enjoy the natural beauty of the area and still easily walk to get groceries.

    I absolutely recommend staying here!

Fernando Pessoa (a Portuguese Poet) once said that "The value of things is not in how long they last but the intensity with which they happen. That is why there are unforgettable moments, inexplicable things and incomparable people." This is the simplest way to describe our experience at Nuno's place. If there are places where we have been we can never forget, Nuno's house in El Trebol lagoon is in this ranking list of places! It's not only the conditions and prime location of the house (spotless clean and very confortable) but the way Nuno hosts, very warm welcome and friendly. That made us feel very confortable, with a fresh baked bread by him for breakfast, sharing his space in a full form, and with all the information you need to enjoy the most of the whole area of Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno Lakes. Manu was very helpful giving us the best suggestion to rent bikes although we didn't have much opportunity to know better. It is worth saying that if people want to go to Patagonia, have to stay at Nuno's place.

  • Nuno and Manu have a beautiful house on the lagoon. It´s even more beautiful than on the photos and Nuno and Manu are very friendly and make you feelat home the moment you arrive. We had some wonderful days there and it was just perfect. Thanks for everything! We hope we can come back soon!

  • The most amazing house ever! The property is every bit as beautiful as the pictures show, and we didn't want to leave. We actually attempted to extend our stay so we could enjoy Bariloche and Los Muchachos for a few more days. The location couldn't be more ideal being right on the Circuito Chico with lots of places to see nearby (no need to go to the city center). Though if you come here you'll have a hard time leaving the house as it is so scenic and peaceful!

Nuno and Manu were extremely gracious hosts and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. They surprised us with the most delicious loaf of homemade bread to welcome us and gave us helpful recommendations of activities and restaurants in the area. They checked in with us regularly to make sure we had what we needed without being intrusive. When it came time for us to leave, we were half way to the airport when we'd realized we'd left a backpack at the house. Without hesitating or being asked, Nuno and Manu offered to drive an hour out of their way to meet us with our bag so we wouldn't miss our flight - something they clearly didn't have to do! You will simply not find lovelier hosts or a more beautiful, wonderfully cared for home.

We are already planning our next trip from San Francisco to Bariloche, mostly so we can stay here again!

  • My wife and I are new to airbnb with this being our second booking. We originally made a reservation to stay 3 nights but on arrival at this lakeside paradise we didn't need any convincing before we extended our stay to 6 nights. We can only hope that we keep finding gems like this in our future travels. We made our decision to stay here based on others' reviews of the property and we were not disappointed. We would definitely recommend that you try this place and experience a little piece of heaven for yourself. As we are traveling the world for 7 months, one thing that we miss is a home cooked meal. On arrival, Nuno had given us a warm welcome and a delicious loaf of freshly baked bread. We couldn't resist and tucked right in and were very grateful when Nuno made us another loaf a couple days later. Nuno was incredible: right from when we first emailed and received prompt responses, to fetching us from the bus stop so we didn't have to carry our backpacks, to giving us amazing tips on where to go and what to do. We could gush all day about how beautiful the area is and how magnificent the house is, but for that you can read all the other reviews. For us, we were also really impressed with the fully equipped kitchen and we only ate out once, enjoying feeling like we were back home cooking roast chicken and barbecuing. We were fortunate to have the whole house to ourselves (although we only booked one room - no-one had booked the other) and this was the most relaxing getaway in all our travels thus far. Thank you Nuno for sharing your home and making us feel so special.

  • I should just cut and paste everyone else's reviews for both rooms of this property of two incredible human beings: Nuno and Manu. Yes it is a spectacular property but we do have a spectacular home in San Francisco and a lot of our friends have incredible properties all over the world as well. We travel more than 250 days a year, have stayed in incredible ryokans, minshukus, boutique hotels, Airbnb, normal B&B and super chain hotels. What makes this place a very special place is a feeling of serenity and peace. After meeting Nuno, Manu and their two beautiful dogs Rita and Mopa you will know what I mean and who and what make this place so special. Avoid downtown Bariloce, come stay here. This is the only place in all of Argentina we found recycling. In San Francisco 92% of the trash gets recycled. It was a relief to see Nuno and Manu are environmentally conscious. Nuno picked us up at the bus station and took us to a great vegetarian place near him called Aashi. What a great restaurant! Another thing that told me a lot about them. Rita was an abandoned Border Collie because she is partially blind. Nuno and Manu gave her a "home". My only complaint is that because Nuno and Manu had moved to their cottage, we could not have the two dogs with us. As you can see we LOVE dogs. We only stayed here two nights but we could have easily spent a week here, if not more. My husband painted quite a bit and we took beautiful walks around the house in circuito chico. This is the place to be. We hope to see them in SF soon. It will a lot of fun to spend some time with them in our home. Nuno made two superb, whole grain breads for us. One to welcome us and one to say goodbye. Being non-meat eaters and non junk, processed food eaters, this thoughtfulness of Nuno will stay with us forever as will be our two beautiful days in Bariloce.
