Frederiksberg is a great area and the neighborhood around the apartment is very typically Copenhagen. Small bars, cafes, restaurants, shops and such.
Only 50 meters from the apartment you'll find a bus stop, it'll take you 5 minutes with bus to the city centre. The metro is 10 minutes walk away, and connects the whole city.
No pets allowed - and absolutely no smoking.
We had a great time staying at Sara's very tidy, clean and welcoming apartment. Unfortunately we were unable to meet her but she responded promptly to our enquiries about the apartment and about the neighbourhood. Her friend was able to briefly meet us when we arrived at the apartment to hand over the keys and quickly show us around, a house manual print-out was left on the dining room table which was informative and gave clear instructions on house keeping rules. The apartment is situated in a lovely quiet, residential neighbourhood, near a supermarket and a metro station, and we felt safe coming home at night.
Sara was quick to respond after a last minute request to stay. Sara was out of town and gave us directions to meet up with her neighbor. The check in time was not very flexible, but it was due to our last minute booking. The house was clean and located in a convinient location. The flat is VERY Copenhagen and economic on space. The bathroom was a bit small, but I thought very inginuitive. If you stay, you must visit Myer's Deli and Coffee Collective! Two great close spots. Great stay overall for the price and what the place offered.
If you're visiting Copenhagen, I would highly recommend Sara and her lovely apartment. She was extremely welcoming and so helpful in the run-up to staying as well as while we were there. As to her apartment, it's beautifully designed, nice and cosy, and very situated too. If you love good coffee, you're only 7 mins walk from The Coffee Collective, which is only doors down from Grod (the most amazing porridge place!). For craft beer lovers, you're only 8 mins from Mikkeller and Friends. Also nearby is Assistens Cemetery, a very Copenhagen attraction. A quick bus will get you into the town centre too.
The apartment was very much alike Sara's description.
The short distance from the apartment to the train station made it very easy to visit, and revisit back and forth, Copenhagen old city.
Very quiet neighborhood.
Our stay at Sara’s apartment was absolutely perfect. The apartment is lovely, decorated with great taste and very well equipped. It is a very comfortable, bright and cheerful place to come back to after our long days out visiting Copenhagen. It is also very well located with both a lively local life and well communicated –though we usually decided to walk as much as possible, and it is just 20/25 minutes or so from the city center. We went for a long weekend and Sara was super-helpful in indicating us places to go (among other things she recommended some really great restaurants!!). We loved having breakfast in the morning in this Scandinavian-style designed apartment: it made our trip feel like we had our own little home in that great city! Other details (which are important for us): The bed is very comfortable and the apartment is quiet; the kitchen is well equipped, Wifi works well, there is a lot of light, there are plenty of food stores around, but Sara left us some food for breakfast, which was great. Overall, a really great find!
Great 1st experience of airbnb. Good description of apartment and quick and friendly communication. Appreciated getting a local's recommendations on where to eat/what to see. A printed house guide made navigating the apartment easy. A fantastic stay where we felt more a part of the city than if we'd been in a hotel.
I work with marketing and communication. I love spending time with friends and family. I have a weakness for latte and I love the Copenhagen cafés. If you need any recommendations for what to do and explore in Copenhagen, I'll be happy to give you some tips.
I love traveling and in my gap year I went to Australia and New Zealand. I have also been working as a tour leader in Bulgaria and Turkey.
I enjoy being an Airbnb host and have traveled a few times with Airbnb myself. I love welcoming my guests and showing them around in my apartment - and I always provide my guests with breakfast! :-)
