Spectacular home in a beautiful setting. This 3 bedroom 3 bath contemporary house is nestled in the Red Rocks of Sedona. Built in 2006-7 the house has a modern kitchen, comfortable living room and outdoor spaces with unobstructed views.

The space

This comfortable home is located in one of Sedona's most stunningly beautiful areas. If you're looking for quiet solitude, you'll find it here -- yet all the restaurants and services of Sedona are just a 7 minute drive away. The comfortable house has unobstructed views to enjoy the beauty of Sedona's natural landscape.

This contemporary home has simple elegance with excellent flow, having been designed in consultation with feng shui master Valmai Howe Elkins. Completed in 2006, it won the "People's Choice" for best house on the Sedona Art and Architecture Tour that year.

The entire house has great natural light, no matter what time of year you stay. Winter sunlight streams through southern windows, and summer patios are shaded and cool with natural ventilation. This is a green passive solar home built with ultra low voc materials, and also features ample conventional heating/cooling systems.

Downstairs you'll enjoy an open plan living room/dining room with 12-foot high ceilings. A gorgeous modern kitchen features all stainless steel appliances and concrete countertops, well equipped with cooking implements and dishes.

Throughout this main living area you'll find engineered maple hardwood floors, hand-made wool rugs, Italian leather sofas and HD satellite video. There's also a guest room downstairs with full bath, perfect for the visitor who requires additional privacy.

Upstairs you'll have your pick of two large master suites. Each comes with its own large deck, queen size bed, full bathroom and walk-in closet. The western suite has its own private entrance, small kitchenette, and large Roman style soaking tub. The eastern suite includes a very private outdoor bathtub with full view of the red rock bluff, which is part of the unique property.

Glendon has obviously put a lot of thought and energy into creating this beautiful property. The house was well laid-out for our family of four, with awesome views of the surrounding red rocks. We had everything we needed during our time there. The landscaping was one of my favorite elements, and if the weather had been warmer during our stay, we would have spent lots of time enjoying the views from the many porches and outdoor spaces. I liked the location, which is on a quiet road about 10 minutes from town. It was easy to get to restaurants (there are so many good restaurants in Sedona!), and anywhere else we wanted to go. We did an awesome hike that started right in the backyard. Glendon was responsive and accessible by text message if we needed anything. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a perfect family week together amongst the red rocks of Sedona in a beautiful and very spacious house. We were received warmly. Glendon was very responsive to any questions we had. Everything was exactly as we had hoped for and more. I could not think of a better place to spend a week with my family.

Our stay with at the Sedona Cliff House was spectacular! The house and the surroundings are even more beautiful than in the pictures. Glendon has taken care of all the details to ensure an extremely relaxing and comfortable stay in his home. There was so much to do in the area, both with Sedona activities and lots of amazing nature hikes, and this home was central for everything yet far away enough to really get some peace and quiet as well! We would love to come back for another stay in the future!

This is a beautiful home that is obviously loved and well maintained. The location is perfect; the views are exquisite and Glendon is very responsive. You MUST make sure to take advantage of the outdoor tub....the view of the night time stars is breathtaking from the vantage point of the tub. Most relaxing vacation I've ever taken. You truly do feel like you are in a luxurious spa with all the high end finishes for every aspect of the house. And views from Our only complaint was several nights we had mice visitors. And most nights we lost water pressure for several hours. You just need to know and plan for that....especially after coming back from hours of hiking and caked in red dust.

The house is beautiful and beautifully sited. A lot of care has gone into it's design and construction. The location is nice - out of town, but not too far, and super close to trails. Glendon, the host, was attentive to any questions and issues we had. He lives in the adjacent building, which made it convenient for any interactions, yet he was very respectful of our privacy. We will stay here again when we return.

My family of 2 adults and 4 children (9,7,4 and 2) spent a week at this fantastic house. Carved into a mountainside this house is situated in what I would consider quintessential Sedona. You would be cheating yourself staying in a hotel in town when you can experience the beauty and the solitude of Sedona in this modern house. I consider myself to be an expert house renter at this point (most recently through Airbnb, but previously through (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)) having rented approximately 50 houses over the last 9 years. This house basically checks all of the boxes. The setting is perfect as you can tell from the pictures. You are also fairly close to town and all that it has to offer. The house itself has higher end finishes, is comfortable, airy, plenty of natural light and is immaculate. My wife is basically a germaphobe and she didn't have one complaint. As others had mentioned, condiments and other kitchen essentials are available. With young children we tend to eat a lot of meals in whatever house we rent and there is nothing more annoying than having to buy spices, olive oil etc. We did buy some items as everything is not available, but I don't mind doing so because we utilized some of the communal items that were available. Last but not least, Glendon was a perfect host. Reachable if needed, but never encroaching on your personal space. You can't go wrong with this rental!
