Just two hours from New York City, you can enjoy a quiet get-away on the North Fork of Long Island. The house is a late 19th-century farm house situated on the main road -- a convenient walk to/from the LIRR, Jitney Stop, 3 blocks to town, and 5 blocks to the town beach. Literally everything is located steps from the door: beach, harbor, SI ferry, transit, boutiques, restaurants, bars, cafes, antique shops, yoga, and the list goes on.
This house was built in the late 1800's but it's now 21st century modern with everything totally renovated (inside and out.) This stylish, well-appointed home has four bedrooms, 1 on the ground floor and three upstairs, and can accommodate up to eight guests (2 queens/1 full/ 2 twins).
The kitchen is fully equipped with a complete set of kitchenware, electric range and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, french press, kettle and cooking essentials. The house also includes: bed linens and towels, stereo, TV, and Wi-Fi internet connection.
The backyard is perfect for entertaining or eating outside.
If you want to leave the village the North Fork is a food and wine lover’s paradise. It's a short drive to the 60+ vineyards, and farm stands. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions–we love the North Fork and love gushing about our home away from home.

Erika has been extremely helpful and forthcoming right from the start when I was to collect the house key from her. Readily available whenever I had questions, Erika is one of the best airbnb hosts I have ever experienced!
The house is great and really cosy - it served as the perfect base for us to experience Greenport and must I say, because of the warmth and cosiness provided by the house, we spent most of our weekend trip in it!
Highly recommended to whoever is thinking of a holiday/weekend getaway at Greenport!
We had a wonderful time at Erika's house in Greenport. The location was perfect — walking distance to the beach, town, transportation, and a short drive from pretty much everything else on the North Fork.
While the exterior of the house seems to still be under construction, the interior of the house was really lovely. The rooms are charmingly decorated and very comfortable. There was more than enough space for all eight of us to sleep, eat, hang out, work, and enjoy the area (and the house!) at our own pace.
Like another guest, we did have a problem with the fridge, which was not working for our whole stay. The house had a mini-fridge, which was working, but for our group of eight, fitting everything we needed for a week in a mini-fridge — with no freezer — was a challenge.
That said, we had no other issues with the house during our stay. It was a lovely place to spend a great vacation!
We enjoyed our time in Greenport, but we had some problems with our stay.
Erika and Ian's house is very spacious with a well-equipped kitchen and dining room. The backyard and outdoor seating are lovely. Location was perfect--just a 5 block walk to a nice, quiet beach and only a few steps to downtown Greenport, which is filled with restaurants and cafes.
However, the house was still under construction when we arrived. The outside of the house was stripped and there was some trash and construction materials in the yard. When we arrived, the fridge did not work, and Erika and Ian were nice enough to bring us a new, smaller fridge. One night, it stormed and we woke up to a flooded kitchen. It took about 12 hours for Erika and Ian to respond to phone calls and emails about this. The leak was not fixed during our stay. They did provide us with a partial reimbursement for the inconvenience.
Overall, we enjoyed the town and the house has potential. We might consider renting again once the house is no longer under construction.
Erika was a great host with a fantastic property. Her cottage is right in the center of the lovely Greenport and it is the perfect base for exploring the North Folk or Shelter Island. A 2 minute walk to the train and ferry makes it the ideal gettaway for city folks without a car. We rented bikes to explore all the region has to offer.
I rented this home for a weekend during the off-season. House is rustic and charming. Residents of the town were incredibly friendly!
This was a great house -- very cute, quaint and clean with plenty of room. The location could not be beat -- we were able to walk for most of the weekend. Highly recommended.
