The flat itself was very pleasant, clean and tidy. However, if you have a problem with heights, the spiral staircase will not make you feel secure as it wobbles and is very narrow so not easy to carry things up and down the stairs. The
There were no instructions from Lee on picking up the keys in advance. He was on holiday and asked me to contact somebody else who didn't answer. As soon as I contacted him about it, Lee sorted this out very quickly. Unfortunately, he didn't tell us that there were three buildings within the complex and there is no name on his flat so we spent 20 minutes knocking on doors within all three buildings to see which door would open with his keys. It could've been quite dangerous actually! Lee also didn't send details on where to leave the keys until the day before we left (I didn't see the message until too late) and there was no instruction manual in the flat itself so we ended up leaving the keys the same place we picked them up! Also, no instructions for rubbish.
Finally, the wifi is almost non-existent so trying to plan our itinerary proved quite difficult. It seemed that there was a private wifi for Lee and another for his guests (this may be wrong) but the code he gave us meant we had awful wifi the whole time we stayed there. If wifi is important maybe Lee should get a better connection.
Evenafter all this, we still had a great time in Berlin and the flat itself was very nice.
Lief alles reibungslos ab, beim Check-in und Check-out. Das Loft war wie auf den Bilder zu sehen ist sehr schön. Das Wlan funktionierte, jedoch nicht sehr gut, respektive nur im Badezimmer.
The apartment was super chill. Very neat with a luxury twist.
5 minutes walking from the sub on Frankfurter Tor in the Friedrichshain area.
Eine wirklich sehr schöne Wohnung - geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sauberkeit, Ordnung und Service könnten optimiert werden. Dennoch ist sie eine Übernachtung wert.
Lee tried his best to make me feel welcome in his place.
We had some issues abou the wifi but he did his best to make happy.
Lee was incredibly accommodating with allowing us to check in at a time that was convenient to us and also to allow us a late check in. The flat itself was OK - it suited us enough as we didn't plan to stay in it that much anyway. The Internet connection was not working which was a little annoying - we asked for this to be looked into but it wasn't. The s+u bahn stations that are referenced in the advert as being a 2 minute walk are a lot further than that. I think overall was an OK place to stay, if you're looking for somewhere inexpensive to stay in Berlin.
The apartment is in a good location and has potential to be a nice place to stay. However, it was dirty and cluttered when we arrived. Basically it looked like someone had a nice weekend there and no one bothered to clean up after them, leaving us with a messy and uncomfortable place to stay. We actually left a night early because it was so bad.
Additionally, we had the following issues:
-WiFi did not work
-There was no toilet paper in the bathroom
-The sheets and towels did not appear to be cleaned
-Kitchen was dirty

Now that I have been living in Berlin for over 7 years whilst continuing to travel abroad a lot, I really can say this is one of the greatest cities to be in right now.
Music is my passion but the inspiration for what I do comes from the world around me - Berlin's diversity, raw culture, hidden depths and exciting vibe are truly gold dust when it comes to 'food for thought' and music production.
Enjoying the work of other musicians and artists in the city is also a passion of mine. If it is new and a little bit out of the ordinary I am there! Hanging out with friends in low key, friendly bars, restaurants and Cafés is also high on my 'free time' agenda and believe me, we are spoiled for choice here in Berlin.
I look forward to hosting you here in Germany's phenomenal capital city. And if you need any tips at all on where to go and what to do to 'live like a local' during your stay, that is part of the 'goes-without-saying-service' I offer as your host.
