We had a short but excellent stay with Lidija and Katarina. They showed us around in Rijeka and were very helpful. Good and friendly hosts, we would definitely recommend them and come back.

Lovely old house in a quiet part of Rijecka, near the city centre. The accommodation is in rooms inside the attic apartment of Lidija and her adult daughter. We actually thought we had booked a whole apartment (our mistake) and were a bit surprised to find we were sharing with the hosts. Luckily they are charming and interesting people, so our stay was enhanced by their presence. The rooms are quite basic but comfortable enough. If you don't like small dogs and cats or sloping attic ceilings then this is not your place. If you like a relaxed, "bohemian", creative environment with free-spirited hosts, then you will love it. Note that you can only use the kitchen by arrangement with Lidija, and generally only for vegetarian food. I hope to return.

Lidija offered us nice and clean rooms in the attic of an old Italian house. Tall people should always watch their head. The appartment is in walking distance from the center. We only stayed for one night but talked quite a lot to Lidija and her daughter. As Lidija likes to travel we learned a lot about her experiences in other countries. She is a very open minded person and made our stay comfortable. We got an unexpected breakfast, also her daughter suggested a nice restaurant in town. Overall it was a good experience. I would definitely stay at this place again.

A nice, clean, cozy apartment, we had all we need, great wifi, easy to park, 5 minutes walk to Korzo the main street, a bakery just near the house. we spent only a night at Lidija'place but we strongly suggest this place to all. She was very nice, polite and full of surprise to us. she also went beyond offering us a breakfast! i also had nice tips and a special gift! her daughter too was there and we had a nice evening chit chat. Dogs are very small and quiet, the cats are invisible ;). we would come back for shure next time we are in the area. don't miss this gem!

We had a great time at Lidija's place. The location was great and we walked everywhere. The bus lines were less than a 10 min. walk and so was the center of town. She let us do our own thing in her home, but would be there anytime we had questions about what beaches to go to and what buses to take. She was incredibly helpful!

I have an apartment in the attic, penthouse, in an old Italian villa, located 5 minutes from the walk Corso, the central street of the city ... (Pedestrian zone) ...
My apartment is in an old Italian villa (1903). And once upon a time the house belonged to an architect Ugo Paggani ... under this roof, he and his son worked on the alchemical experiments! The grandmother buried all the old glasses jars in the garden - still I have not found any of them! :)
The apartment has 120 m2, 5 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, dining room, hall ... skylights ... Ceiling beams ... angled ceiling ... The apartment is unusual and unique ... different ... my guests and friends say that my home is cozy and has a positive energy ... :)

I have two daughters ... This autumn, one of them will go to study in Moscow (RU), and other daughter in Bologna (IT)
I have two dogs ... Maltese. You need to ignore them the first 5 min of arrival, if they have your attention - they are going to bark a little bit :)
I have two cats too. they are hiding in the roof when someone is here ... they are twin sisters ... they did not have a happy childhood ... and so they have a fear of people ...

I admit I'm a busy woman but I will do my best to show you around or at least make your staying at my place pleasant.

I got everything in my apartment, do not worry about blankets or towels. You can bring yours if you want though ...

On the hallway of the apartment is one cooler that can be used for refreshment drinks, water, fruit, ... Tap water is drinkable in the city, very good taste!

If you are arriving by train
Exit the building through the main station entrance ... cross the road ... Continue straight down the street (cca 200m) (behind your back is the entrance to the station) ... at the first traffic light, go right ... then at the next traffic light, turn left (next to the building 'Elektroprimorje') ... 50 m after walking on the right side of Elektroprimorje you will see the stairs (Marko Rems steps)... go up and on top you will see Veterinary ambulance; continue going up the hill for the next 50 m.. buildings with three floors and a courtyard that you see in front of you is the destination! :)

If you are arriving by bus:
- Go to the cathedral right staircase (Kapucinske stube), then up the left side of the street (Ciottina street) ... When you get to the first extension, take a street which is right next to the Caffe bar (Slaviša Vajner Čiča street), up the hill (50m), cross the street and proceed straight to the street leading up to the junction (150 m), there turn in right side of Moše Albaharija street and follow the street will see in front of you a building of ex-Faculty of Philosophy ... at a coffee bar which is on the corner of the street (Senjskih uskoka)- turn right ... buildings with three floors and a courtyard that you see in front of you is the destination! :)

If you are coming from Corso:
- Find Hotel Bonavia
- Go up the stairs and on the right side of the hotel to the Governor's Palace ... Take the stairs on the left side of the palace ... in the middle of the stairs turn left (there is a hairdresser; Ive Marinković street) and walk to till the bakery (about 300 m) ... near the bakery turn left, then left (in front of you will be a school). This elementary school ('Brajda') is the very first building of my street- my house is the last one on the same side of street and has number 20! flat on top. :)

If you arrive by car -
- I hope you have navigation in the car because it is the center of the city is full of one-way street and we have a lot of driving in circles ... best to arrange to meet with you at one of the entrances to the city! :)
