Charming detached studio-apartment cottage has plenty of privacy! No sharing space with others! One Double bed and one Single bed, kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster oven, eating area, and bath with handicap access. Bright and clean with hardwood floors. This "home stay" unit is perfect for one, two, or three people. Yes, your pets are welcome!
Stroll down to the creek's edge - this is PRIVATE creek access for just our community of a few homes - you won't be running into hoards of tourists near the water here!
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, glasses, pots and pans to prepare and serve meals. In late autumn (when the leaves on the trees drop) until spring, you'll have a view of Cathedral Rock from the kitchen window. The cottage is surrounded by red rock and pastoral views. Located outside city limits, and yet only 10 minutes to town where you'll find shopping, art galleries, theaters and events.
This stand-alone cottage is in the Cathedral Rock vortex and very quiet and private. NO TV, no phone, nothing but the INTERNET to distract you from all the hiking, biking, fishing, and meditating you want to do. Good spot for writers, artist, photographers, hikers and those on a spiritual vision quest. (Although many guests are watching movies/TV on their lap-top computers and Ipads.)
This is a great spot on Disney Lane -- within the historic Red Rock Loop Rd/ Cathedral Valley area with MANY neighborhood trails -- and just a short walk to the creek. Conveniently located between Crescent Moon and Red Rock State Parks, there's much to see and do here.
The water in the cottage is from a natural spring well 450 ft below the ground - no chlorine or fluoride added - just fresh pure, clean water. An irrigation ditch from the creek also runs through the neighborhood and is on the north side of the cottage. The sound of the water from creek and ditch is soothing and restful.
A car is recommended - Public transportation picks up at the high school only twice a day. Red Rock Loop Road is windy with many beautiful views with turn-outs to enjoy them. Parking at the cottage is plentiful and only steps away from the front door. Room enough to park your RV, boat, or trailer, too.
Please keep in mind that this is a RURAL area and there's a great deal of wildlife in the area - deer, coyotes, javelina and great blue herons frequent our neighborhood. It's very quiet.
Pets are welcome and although it is completely fenced, please keep your dog on leash outside the cottage. A non-refundable pet deposit required of $10 for each animal per day. Although there is a dog in the main house next door, she is not allowed in the cottage or in the fenced yard surrounding the cottage.
Check in time is 3 pm, check out time is 11 am. (Flexible if you arrange a different time in advance.)

Interaction with Guests
Those who book the quiet cottage usually do so because they want their privacy. However, if you need to speak with the hosts, there's a doorbell on the back door and/or a phone number posted in the cottage.
The Cathedral Rock Valley is a historic area dating back to Sedona's earliest settlers. The Wells Fargo road and the first schoolhouse built in Sedona are nearby. Walt Disney purchased this land for various films and shows.
You'll need a car in Sedona. The public transit picks up only twice a day at the corner of Upper Red Rock Loop Rd and 89A. Taxi service is spotty and slow.

No rules. Just do what's right.
We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful and quiet cottage. The kitchen is very well equipped. We also enjoyed taking a dip in the Oak Creek almost every day, only a few minutes from the cottage away. And you can do the wonderful Cathedral Rock Trail right from the cottage. We did it and it was a unique experience. In one word, we would come back again.
We had 2 wonderful days in your Quiet House. The name is program. We enjoyed the Cottage, our time together, the Creek and Sedona. Thank you so much for a few peaches and plums from your garden, we found in the refrigerator as we arrived.
Next time we will come again!
Directions were accurate and email was sent out prior to visit explaining all details so there was no confusion. Host was great and accommodating. The is a great spot for a getaway from the hustle and bustle. Loved our stay.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We loved the neighborhood and creek nearby. Our dog and toddler were very happy there! The view of the rocks from the cottage was a sweet bonus! Jocelyn was sweet and let my toddler pick out plums and peaches from her trees. We want to come back!
Great place. I highly recommend staying here. The fact that you can walk 5 minutes to the creek and sit in it during the heat is an especially nice treat. Good a.c. And nice, big bathroom. Very quiet, perfect for light sleepers.
You could show up at Jocelyn's Quiet Cottage muddy and hungry with just the clothes on your back and you will be looked after. There is always the makings of one or two meals in the fridge or the cupboard, the bathroom is fully stocked with shampoos, soaps, and toiletries; the queen and twin beds are comfy and inviting.
This cabin has privacy, lovely views, and is a 5-minute walk through the woods to Oak Creek. It's adjacent to the Buckner home in a low-key residential neighbourhood. It's not resort fancy -- but a 10-minute drive into town will give you that -- but what it has is quiet, beauty, and proximity to trails and Red Rock State Park...very luxurious in its own way.
This July 4th weekend was our (me & my 8-year-old) third stay at Jocelyn's Quiet Cottage; our fourth will be this upcoming October.
(Bonus points for the big box of Lego!)
At all times Joseline made sure we knew the correct address before we arrived. She.welcomed us warmly and showed us all facilities. Even share her apricot tree, which I did, morning and night! Delicious fruits, like the place, neat, complete and with everything needed. We were so happy it was out of the city since we could appreciate more the beauty of the surroundings.
