On arrival we held a reception with local food and a bottle of champagne to toast your stay and we met.
Maintain communication during the stay and, often, a posteriori, we related through social networks.
I do not stay in the apartment because I respect his privacy, but I am always careful if you need anything or to go clean up and change clothes if they stay more than a week.
My neighborhood belongs to Eixample with touches of Gracia, it's cozy, commercial, has rides and plazas where drink outdoors.
Can you find all the amenities and is well connected but not a particularly "tourist" area
I think one of the nicest things is to walk the streets, see the beautiful modernist buildings stand on a outdoor terrace while sipping a beer and some spades. At night the Gracia neighborhood is buzzing with young and not so young people, with the original version cinemas, theaters, bars and small clubs, quiet, safe and well lit.
The best public transport are the feet and you can walk or jog to the Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Passeig de Gracia, the Arc de Triomphe, and Parc de la Ciutadella, even at the beach!
If you do not want physical efforts have next stop several buses connecting you with the city and Metro's mouth, which also takes you farther and faster.
There is private parking nearby, nothing expensive and blue charging zone during the day.
The journey from the airport to the house is more comfortable Airbus departing from Terminal 2. Since the end of the bus ride and you can take a taxi (cheap because it is close) or bus 47 as it leaves you one block from home.
There is a manual of all house facilities in the language of the host and brochures of various appliances.
Phone numbers, email and wifi code left.
The guest has brochures, guides, maps and books illustrative of the different facets offered by the city and surroundings.

I have travelled a lot but I have never met a host like Maria! It was like visiting family, we felt right at home in her beautiful apartment. Maria and her boyfriend had prepared a great reception for us, they sat down with us and explained us where to go and how to get there, so we knew our way around Barcelona right away. Thank you for all the great recommendations!
The apartment is perfectly located, you can walk to many sights and everything you need is somewhere around the corner. During our stay Maria kept us posted about what's going on in Barcelona via e-mail, she was available at any time and responded right away. She even took our post cards to the post office when we couldn't find a mailbox.
Maria is the most generous person ever, her fridge was full of food and drinks that she had bought for us, more than anyone could eat! Her super clean apartment is very well-equipped, she has anything you might need!
I highly recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to Barcelona! What a great airbnb experience!
Maria, thank you again for everything, you are a wonderful person! We hope that we will get a chance to come to Barcelona again soon!
It was a bit Chaotic arriving to the apartment due to getting delayed, but once inside it was most welcome. A really peaceful place and a delicious range of food. It was a really well located place (just a short walk from the Cathedral) and was an excellent place to stay to properly explore the city.
Full stocked with all that a first time visitor to the city could need (Maps, Guides etc). Really nice place to relax and unwind after a full day of exploration :-). I strongly recommend anyone coming to Barcelona to stay at this Apartment as it gave some much welcome comforts that you just don't get in a hotel.
I had a wonderful time staying at Maria's flat! She was very kind, welcoming, and helpful.
The location of this flat is very convenient. There are buses and metro close-by. You can get to the old town easily by bus or metro. If you like to walk, it's a nice 20-30 minute walk to La Rambla, 10-15 minute walk to la Sagrada Familia and Casa Batllo.
This flat is also located in a very safe neighborhood.
We had a wonderful stay in the flat of Maria, everything was prepared very well for our holiday in Barcelona!! Thank you again!! ;-)
A lovely flat and the host is very generous! Can't complain about anything. Real cool!!
Volveremos a repetir seguro!
Maria greeted us at the front door with big hugs and the traditional double-cheek kisses. She was full of energy and such a happy, helpful host. We shared a bottle of cava and some Spanish candies, and after about an hour she left us with lots of tips about the city, complete with maps and guidebooks. Staying in her cute apartment was comfortable and perfect - it made me feel like I was visiting my favorite aunt. She even told us to help ourselves to the food in her fridge! We loved the location, the apartment, and Maria herself, and we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to Barcelona.
We really enjoyed our stay at Maria's flat in Barcelona. We arrived in the evening and she was waiting for us with a table full of tapas and a bottle of cava. She showed us a map with the best attraction and explained how to get around the city. Maria also gave us several excellent restaurant and cafe recommendations. We felt right at home in the apartment which made for a very enjoyable stay. She left us food for breakfast and coffee daily. We could come home and relax after a day of exploring before heading back out to dinner. I would certainly stay here again.
