Giannutri, the island of seagulls

Facing the promontory of Monte Argentario there is Giannutri, the southernmost of the Tuscan Archipelago’s islands, with its unmistakable shape of a crescent.
Giannutri has been a marine park and a protected area for many years; it is a small, very green island from the rugged and rocky coastline, interrupted by picturesque bays and caves, about 3 km long and just over 500 meters wide.
Its limestone and the exceptional clarity of the water, the extraordinary biological diversity and the presence of wrecks, make unique sea bottoms, rich in sea fans, sponges, coral and tunicates, plus a wide variety of fish, attracting thousands of divers every year.

The mediterranean scrub, the juniper, the rosemary and the annual grassland cover it all with their colors and scents.
It is the step-way for a myriad of birds that reach Europe to nest, and the favorite place for the pale swift and the herring gull. Bird lovers can also find here the shearwater, the little nun, the Sardinian warbler, the shag.

“Welcome, my name is Giacomo, and I’m very pleased to meet you”.

My wife Mary and I live in Rome, where I was raised, went to school and eventually studied medicine while cultivating my many other passions: motorbike and bicycle trips, skiing and sailing, books and films, tinkering and gardening. I love travelling and discovering authentic places, meeting the people who live in them and sampling the local cuisine and culture. My greatest pleasure, though, is to invite friends into my home to cook for and entertain them.

That’s why I finally decided to make hospitality my chosen profession, and I have my own special approach: I choose only the homes in which I would truly have wanted to live.

Charming homes, tastefully furnished by their owners in captivating settings, where I personally welcome visitors from all over the world to make them feel at home.

These homes come to life with every new set of guests; animated and enriched by this diversity of voices and experiences they only grow more beautiful. Why not come and see?

“Welcome, I'm Giacomo. It's nice to meet you.“

In Rome, where I live with my wife Mary, I was born and raised, I studied in classical high school and then medicine, growing a lot of passions: I love motorcycle and bike travel, skiing and sailing, books and film, DIY and gardening. I really like to travel and discover authentic places, get to know the people who live there, the local cuisine and culture. Above all, I like to invite friends, cook for them, host people in my home.

That's why I decided to do the hospitality of my job, and I wanted to do it the way I like it-I only chose homes where I would be happy to live, beautiful, lived in beautiful places.

In these homes, carefully furnished by their owners, I like to personally welcome travelers from all over the world, make them feel like they are at home.

With my guests, these houses come alive with different voices and eyes, they enrich and become more beautiful. Come see.
